Marty St. Louis is more than just an ex-NHL player. He's got his name on The Cup, is in the Hall of Fame, and has won the Art Ross (twice), the Pearson, the Hart, and the Lady Byng (three times) trophies. He knows the game and he's patient.
True. But that doesn't guarantee Coaching pedigree.

As a Montreal Canadiens fan, we lucked out. Hired an ex-NHL player back in 2022 (starting a rebuild) whose only coaching experience was with his son's Peewee team. This year, the team is in Round 2 (out of 4) of the playoffs.

Oh the ranter here is a podcaster/whatever; the manager is Tony Vitello and everyone is trying to blame him but this guy is unloading on those fans.
The hardest pill to swallow is Buster Posey, whose career won't get him into the hall of fame but is absolutely legendary ... and he's spent Ohtani money (in total) on guys who immediately flopped.
Ah, ok. That makes sense. Although I'm temporarily off FB for a while I was still able to see the video partially by tapping on the pic while the audio played. And the way he walked off at the end of the rant made me think it was the manager. I don't follow the NL enough to know who's who. But that ranter was fun to listen to. Spending big money on players who don't live up to their contract is pretty common. But to have it happen on many players on the same team...Ugh.

Our new manager has never managed professional baseball at any level (was head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers). He's not the problem. Here's an excellent rant about where the Giants are; too bad I never learned how to fit a whole FB post on here but you don't need to see it, just hear it.
