$2T+ valuation on a company that generates $19B in revenue and a $9B loss, burning ~$20B in cash flow...should be on that mtv show ridiculousness.
Bankruptcy within 5 years isnt out of the question.
So like those corporate raiders that buy a company to raid its assets and make millions driving it into bankruptcy? Only he starts the company and does it himself? Much more efficient.
But what do I know? I'm a risk adverse financial idiot.
Yeah, it's tanking right now. I suppose it is because of the bonds that they just put up for sale. I'm even.
I'm in it for S & G's and maybe a long thing. One thing I've learned watching Musk over the years is to expect high volatility.
From Reuters this morning :
Moody's issued âa "Baa1" and Fitch a "BBB+" rating, indicating that SpaceX's debt is considered investment-grade â and carries moderate credit risk, with sufficient capacity to meet its financial commitments.
This could be shits and giggles or spacex and grok, and it really doesn't make any difference. Any other company with these financials and this governance structure wouldn't even bother with a rating. This is pure cult of personality.
Yes, musk has volatility at the base of all his companies. They lose a lot of money, they don't do things the 'right' way. And they are propped up by people believing "he's a genius, so it must be good". He buys the dips and sells on his tweets. He's making money playing the spread, the company is just the tool.

I did. 9 shares. Dumped a flatliner and put it into SPCX and I'm up 12%.
Yeah, I know that IPO's traditionally tank shortly after issuance. So go ahead and laugh at me for being stupid.
Worth the risk to me is all I can say.
So am I now a war criminal for buying in ?
Oh, and my R 2000 index is up 17%

Yer simply taking advantage, like most of us do. With sometimes potentially vast consequences for the have-not majority on the planet. This you can only work out with your own conscience, I'd say.
Where the greater your awareness of systemic happenstance, the more you might feel responsible if you choose not to look away.
so⦠who bought shares and helped musky become a billionaire?ð¤£
I looked to see if I needed to avoid, but most of my stuff has governance rules that would prevent it. There are a few moves I need to make anyway, getting awful frothy around the market.
