We can hope maybe for this enlightenment to continue to spread from one to another though, no?  If we continue on a positive path individually, working at healing ourselves and learning tolerance, patience, and taking a kinder, less judgmental path while we live our day to day lives, and continue our work to support ourselves and our families as well as our communities, then it seems it would inevitably "spread."

The only enlightenment that matters is your own. This goes for all of us. Serenity prayer.

I'm not sure I can name a society that's civilized, even if you put that adjective in quotes.

That's is because enlightenment can only occur on an individual level, once every single person is enlightened then by definition you can achieve societal enlightenment. Until then, we are just pissing in the wind thinking in terms of societal enlightenment and utopia. Homo Sapiens is light years away from anything resembling ascension and will likely become extinct well before then. So until then, the mirror is where its at.

A smart person would have closed the windows to the office when watching a cloud of stone dust roll in the windows from the demolition of the stone floor.

A smarter person would have cleaned up the dust by now.

Strange how many people pronounce "emails" with a short e sound instead of a long a sound...so it comes out "e-mells." Just heard a woman do that in a commercial for Grammarly software.

Not related in any way but it rhymes: I see a lot of smart-ish people using the word "sells" when they mean "sales." "I have the best products but can't get any sells." :shudder:
