Thanks.  Next challenge I have is getting my butt out the door in the morning by myself to go to work and making sure that I get to bed at the right time so I actually get enough sleep and wake up at the right time.  When you only work a couple of times a week, there is no routine to fall back on.

Bought new tires. Was going to do it next week, but I stopped by CostCo to check on availability of a set that's on sale (until next week) and found that until tomorrow they had an additional special: installation $1 per tire, as opposed to $15 per. Sweet! So I walked up and down each aisle in the store, killing the hour, and managed to not buy anything on impulse! Just the two things on my list. Score!

Worked my ass off for 9 hours straight of mentally fatiguing, energy draining, pretzel-logicy stuff with nary a break to gulp down some soup until my brain felt like a squeezed out old dish sponge. I wrote a direct and sincere letter of application and in 2 hours after I've mailed it with my resume I've received a phone call from someone in UK (a Romanian guy). He asked me a few questions, and said that he'll talk with his team here and decide if they'll call me for an interview.

I have no experience in that field (I told them too), but it seems that my letter of application worked {#Cheesygrin} I hope they'll call and I won't be nervous at the interview.

Good luck!

Paid it forward.

So many people have given me free labor (handyman tasks, website work) over the years when I truly needed help—and I now have the opportunity to write a friend's bio link for his woodworking website. I told him I would only accept a drink at our next Euchre meetup. First draft is done and ready for his review.

Ushered at a matinee of Equus at the performing arts center. They did a good job with a difficult play.

Took the new Instant Pot for a test drive. Pretty good results for my first try.
