12 Cream ~ Dance The Night Away
13 Nils Lofgren ~ Cry Tough
14 Zappa ~ Dancin’ Fool
15 Fanny ~ Butter Boy
16 The Stones ~ Can’t You Hear Me Knocking
17 Led Zep ~ How Many More Times

First off, it's good to have you back in the fold. Hope your health continues to improve.

On to the review!

Really like the flow of this mix. And the sound of your rips is outstanding, one would be hard pressed to know they all came off your old vinyl. Nary a snap, crackle or pop to be heard. I've yet to attempt any digital recording of my vinyl collection. Still like to use them old school. Maybe one day when I take the plunge and upgrade my platter.

Mix highlights for me.
Steely Dan - Like that you went with a good deep cut with them. They have lots of those to go with their hits.
Beatles - Another overlooked song you don't hear everyday
The Tubes - Love these guys, love their humor, their sound & attitude.
Buffett - My late wife was a Parrot Head so I'm very familiar with his catalogue and this was always one of my favs
Nesmith - Recently found one of his solo LP's at a yard sale for $1. He ain't half bad by himself
Fanny - I think you used one of their songs before. I'll be keeping my eye out in the bins for one of their polyvinyl chloride collections. Probably hard to find I'm guessing

Overall very good selections here, off the beaten path is where you find many a gem. Thanks for your efforts {#Cheers}

The best thing about our club is the opportunity to hear music you would never otherwise have been exposed to.  Without your mixes I would have never heard these deep album cuts from the golden age of vinyl because as you mentioned, I don't listen to or purchase music by album or even artist.  My musical taste growing up was diverse, but narrow simply because of the lack of wide exposure of music back then. We obviously didn't have the ability to find and listen to virtually any type of music on the entire planet from your phone like we have today. You had to be in the right place at the right time to hear a song on the radio, meet someone who turns you on to something new and so forth.
Incredibly long winded way of saying I missed most of this music the first time round so thanks for that. {#Cowboy}

Highlights:

3. Ashamed to say that I am a huge Steely Dan fan and have never listened to one of their albums, again not the way I listen to music so amazingly I had not heard this one!

8. Never would have guessed this was Blondie, what a quirky song!

9. Total guilty pleasure song, I know I am not supposed to like Buffet, but he does have 3 or 4 songs that are ok with me and this is one of them.

10. Never heard any Nesmith's solo stuff before; pretty funky!

11. One of my favorite songs as a kid and I still don't think I really understand the meaning! Satire or cynicism, both? lol

14. Not really a big Zappa fan, but it does bring back some good memories

16. I just put together a Stones compilation for a good friends wedding this summer and it really took the Stones up a notch for me and I actually think I like their body of work better than the Beatles during the 60s and 70s.  From their fonky Billy Preston stage good stuff!
17. Bonzo! Nearly got thrown out of the house on this one, wanted to put all yer fancy recording methods room to breathe!{#Drummer}

Great mix, makes me want to go Vinyl shopping!{#Clap}

And now for this important word from our sponsor:

Let it Grow and Join the Fight Against Cancer!

Each day, 22,000 people die from cancer worldwide (WHO). There's a good chance that someone you know and love will be affected by this disease. Nearly half of cancer diagnoses and deaths are preventable. No-Shave November's mission is to not only raise funds for cancer research and treatment but to educate the population about preventative measures.  For over six years, participants around the globe have put down their razors and foregone their hair appointments to join the fight against cancer. The No-Shave November campaign has successfully raised over $3.5 million dollars to combat this disease. Every dollar raised brings us one step closer in our efforts to fund cancer research and education, help prevent the disease, and aid those fighting the battle. Each whisker grown allows us to embrace our hair, which many cancer patients lose during treatment. Will you join us?

If possible, please make a small donation to my effort.

I finally figured out the theme about track 5, thought that was cleverly done. And I really enjoyed the tunes too—a couple I wasn't familiar with.

Great rips as well. {#Cheers}

So I never looked up maryte's song ratings before or it's been 10 years or something.  Kinda like to know what the tastes and the hates are.  We are going to get along just fine.  I'm going to send you a copy of my last one cuz there's a lot of stuff you like on that I see.  I had the mix figured out and was giving it a final listen and saw a song that didn't make the final cut but you rated it a 10, too.  So I dug out the album and giving it the rip.  Never got around to actually doing this song other than an mp3 10 years ago when I started playing with music.  Its time has come.  Its one of my favorites, too.  It's the next to the last track on the mix from the MFSL half speed master.  Once again, 100% vinyl, an AAD disc ...

I'm doing all this as I get ready for a bug out of Dodge road trip to New Bern, NC for 4 days to mental floss and get my feet wet in the ocean for the first time in 7 years.  I haven't been anywhere in 7 years actually other than my trip a year or so ago to try and get my teeth yanked with a red hot tooth needing yanked for extra discomfort on that trip.  Patty is the one who has been on the road, but they have all been to take care of family members not doing well, so they don't count for much in the way of fun.  Patty will be heading back out west in the next week and a half on a one way ticket to take care of her daughter, so this is the only chance I have to get some me only time for anytime in the foreseeable future.  I wish this wasn't so hurried or I would try and see some of you on the way.

So the plan is to stay up tonight and finish up the mix and get it ready for burning.  Burn and pack and load up so I can get there during daylight Monday about a 10 to 11 ride.  Patty will take them to the Post Office on Monday  There may or may not be art work so in case there isn't, track 3 has some F bombs so be careful where you play it for the first time.  This is definitely one of my more bizarre efforts, but there is an actual theme of sorts for a change.  {#Mrgreen}

It will be good to get this done because I have been going in so many different directions that a lot have things have been started but few finished.  I'm taking all the mixes from the last round and giving them a proper listening to on the way.  I will admit that there are a couple unopened just because of the way things have been.

Still love doing this and look forward to being a little more involved back in here than I have in the past year or so.  Its one of the hardest things to do that I have ever loved.  But this is what I really live for in the Winter of my life.

Catch up with you all in a week or so, depending on innernet access on the road.
{#Hug}

Enjoy dipping those toes in the Ocean. Hope this warm weather holds for you. Be well and happy listening {#Music}

So the plan is to stay up tonight and finish up the mix and get it ready for burning.  Burn and pack and load up so I can get there during daylight Monday about a 10 to 11 ride.  Patty will take them to the Post Office on Monday  There may or may not be art work so in case there isn't, track 3 has some F bombs so be careful where you play it for the first time.  This is definitely one of my more bizarre efforts, but there is an actual theme of sorts for a change.  {#Mrgreen}

Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness in selecting tunes!  I'm touched (in the head, some might say)!
