Yeah, I think it was probably either a heart attack, an embolism, or an aneurysm. Just last year, my nephew's girlfriend's mother died suddenly from an aneurysm and then, several months later, my SIL (that same nephew's mother) died suddenly from an embolism.  When we saw Tommy, he looked to be in good health and was very engaged with the audience.

My first concert. Not my idea, my mom and her friend and her friend's daughter went and I had to go. I don't think I ever heard him sing, too much screeching and screaming. RIP. As Haresfur said these celebrity deaths due mark our own passage through life.

Nah, they're her age. Sherman (and Cassidy) is about 10 years older than her, so he was a big star when she was 12 or 13, that's how that works, usually.

Andy Gibb was who tweeners and early teens had posters of, when I was a tweener. And Leif Garrett. And Shaun Cassidy.
The first guy's poster I ever hung up was Jimmy Baio—-Scott's cousin, who had a role as Billy on Soap. Man I loved him.

Pondering the death of celebrities is strange. In many ways it becomes reflecting on the death of my youth. Sometimes, it is the person who shaped who I am and will always be important to me. Sometimes it is someone who was not personally important but was part of the cultural backdrop. Rarely it is someone who became more compelling with age. In any case they represent the ongoing loss felt by so many families and friends as the wheel of life turns. And that in itself should be mourned and celebrated.

 Nicely said.
