yesterday, my friend and I were driving along on the highway, about to get off at an exit and saw this little gray dog running toward us. There was a lady or two chasing it. So, my  friend pulled the car over and I opened the passenger door and sorta "trapped" the dog btn the car/shoulder concrete thing and the car door. I reached down the pick the dog up and it BIT me. I jumped and let it go and it took off down the highway. Turns out it wasn't the chaser's dog. So I had to go to the hospital and started rabies shots. What a pain in the neck. And I honestly can't promise I wouldn't do it again, it all happened so fast.

Good try, SOMH. So sorry about the bite AND the rabies course.

I heart dogs of all breeds!  But they can surprise you and scare me sometimes.  Here I was trying to play ball with some other pups...  I'm lucky she didn't bite me, she looks pretty tough.

I wasn't really thinking about what was noble, was just reacting to the situation put in front of me. If I'd've thought about it and the possibility of a bite I honestly would've likely not.
