Not much you can do about the random stops.   Just make sure it has a good wifi signal,  and reboot the device occasionally.

Account linking is only needed to rate songs.  There seems to be an issue with it failing to link if you are already logged into the website.  For now you can log out of rp and then request alexa to link the skill.   Should be prompted for your username and password and be able to finish linking your account.

I am done trying to get Alexa and RP to play nice together. It's next to impossible to get my Echo to sync with the stream (works 1 in 4 times), and it continues to stop randomly in the middle of songs. It's just too frustrating. Going back to Spotify, which works seamlessly. I will miss RP, though.

Also, I've tried many times to link my RP account to Alexa, but it always tells me "We were unable to link Radio Paradise at this time."

Alexa, tell radio paradise to sync — or Alexa, tell radio paradise sync

That's a bit flaky (she sometimes doesn't parse that command very well).

We'll be adding the ability to sync the web display to Alexa (or any other player) in our next site version, which (hopefully) will be out sometime in Q1 2018.

Sorry I didn't follow up on this.  It works if you say "Alexa, play radio paradise on TuneIn".

Oops. Didn't scroll down quite far enough before responding. I'll investigate.

Love RP using Echo, it's a match made in heaven!!  I just say "Alexa, play radio paradise" and it kicks in.  That is, it did until about a week ago.  I was patient as it's done this before, just stopped working then mysteriously started working again a day or two later.  But after a week of no RP streaming I did some searching on the net to find out the issue, and came across this page.  Found another forum on Amazon that recommended simply unplugging the Echo for a few seconds and then plugging it back in.  Well it sounds simple and it is, and it solved the problem.  Got RP right back and streaming again on my Echo.  If you haven't tried this simple solution give it a go!

Same for me. Always worked well now is stops inexplicably. Sometimes resumes, somerimes I have to switch to another streaming service and back again. But... At the moment neither of my echos will stream anything so I think this is an echo problem.

I've been enjoying RP via my Amazon Echo for over 6 months now. It's a constant companion when I'm in the kitchen cooking. Until recently I could ask, "Alexa. What song is this?" and the reply would be the name of the song and the artist. I would get the same info when I ask, "Alexa. Who's the artist?"  Recently, however, this very useful behavior has stopped working. Now when I ask either question, the response is, "This is Radio Paradise from TuneIn." No song info at all. My Android app shows the name of the song playing and the artist, so I know the data is getting sent to Amazon, but I don't understand why I'm not getting the same info as before. I've posted this on the Echo site as well but have received no replies as yet. Any thoughts as to what's going on?

I use it more and more. Things like math and spelling even.
So I will ask her how to spell many words and she 99% of the time knows the word I am asking about and on the first try. By kids use it for math (for Pok-e-mon points being added up) and we  also use it for new briefs, add stuff to our to-do list and grocery list and it is good at playing music too. Like it for weather and she even has a sense of humor, (ask her to open the pod bay doors (2001 A Space Odyssey)). We ask her to define works too. Set timers and alarms.
Anyway, the more I use it, the more I like it. Also, good for when we cook for measurement conversion and also for metric to standard and stuff like that. You can ask her who the Rolling Stones are and she will tell you about the group.

Lucky you. I didn't make the invite list. I'm really curious to see how it develops.  I think $99 is the right price point, and I really hope they integrate content well and don't just use it as a sales platform. It certainly has a lot of potential. Keep us posted on how you like it and how it works.

Bill,
I don't know if it will work out of the box, but I would love to be able to ask the Amazon Echo "Alexa, play Radio Paradise" and have it pull up your station in all it's goodness and music glory.
I see the Echo having a much larger user base then the Chumby, speaking of which, thanks again for getting the Chumby "now playing" widget back up and running.
Best regards, Matt

Here is a snip from the Echo email I got today, mine should be here Friday.
I'm a software developer, can I develop services for Echo? We'd love to hear your ideas for what you might build for Echo. Contact us at echo-developers@amazon.com
