It would be good if they would build in some "rust-belt" location around the Great Lakes, but it's hard to know what their criteria are.  Of course, there are numerous places around the country which could sorely use such a project.

Yeah, fulfillment will happen somewhere else (I assume), so these would be tech jobs mostly, customer service, etc.

Amazon to Build 2nd HQ in North America

Amazon HQ2 will be Amazon’s second headquarters in North America. We expect to invest over $5 billion in construction and grow this second headquarters to include as many as 50,000 high-paying jobs – it will be a full equal to our current campus in Seattle. In addition to Amazon’s direct hiring and investment, construction and ongoing operation of Amazon HQ2 is expected to create tens of thousands of additional jobs and tens of billions of dollars in additional investment in the surrounding community.

Just a question about the Amazon link for the commission. I used it to start my Kindle membership. This is an ongoing automatic payment so I was wondering if Radio paradise still gets the commission. Does anyone know?

Yes, we do — as long as you opened Amazon with our link when you started the signup process.

Bill may chime in but I believe RP would have to have a separate Kindle Associates ID for that to work. Maybe. A definite maybe. If you subscribe to something in the grocery department, say you get one bottle of Sriracha every month, the answer is yes, RP would get a cut every month. I think.

Thanks, I will have to look in to the separate ID. I have been doing this for a while and I know it is not much money but I hope Radio Paradise gets some of it.
