I sleepwalked through my supper yesterday. All the indications are there, i'm told: I ate with my eyes closed, I only had 1 bowl of soup (Friday is soup night and I always have 2 bowls), I got up and went back to my comfy chair, leaving my bowl and spoon on the table. I always take my bowl and spoon to the sink when I'm done.

I was talked to. But I never talked back.

Booker's + tired = not a good combination.

And I didn't even drink that much. I'm just glad I didn't decide to go for a drive. {#Eek}

Edit: For the record, I use to sleepwalk when I was a kid.

How to Make Razzy Tazzy Tingleberry Soup Yesterday

1.Wait till the day after.  Bust you up a sack of them lemon doodie things
thus releasing their compound astroprotons into the elixir.

2. Add water and beet root sugars to taste and fancy it up with alternate fruit sores.
Such as the fruits depicted within this daguerreotype image. Please make a note
of the distinct lack of albumen. Thank you.

3. We call this beverage "Razzy Tazzy Tingleberry Soup" because of the luscious,
ripe strawberries. Strawberries can be found at many of your local comestible
replenishment depots.

3a. Enjoy a leisurely glass of your hand-wraught concoction beside a
gentle flowing creek after retreating from the heat of battle or perhaps
fill a casket with it and saunter, bloated and barrel-like, down the valley to the sea.

My heart is breaking for you...It's so hard to lose people we love. At least he is no longer suffering, and his family had that time with him.

Yesterday, when I was young,
The taste of life was sweet, as rain upon my tongue,
I teased at life, as if it were a foolish game,
The way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame

The thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I planned,
I always built, alas, on weak and shifting sand,
I lived by night, and shunned the naked light of day,
And only now, I see, how the years ran away

Yesterday, when I was young,
So many happy songs were waiting to be sung,
So many wild pleasures lay in store for me,
And so much pain, my dazzled eyes refused to see

I ran so fast that time, and youth at last ran out,
I never stopped to think, what life, was all about,
And every conversation, I can now recall,
Concerned itself with me, and nothing else at all

Yesterday, the moon was blue,
And every crazy day, brought something new to do,
I used my magic age, as if it were a wand,
And never saw the worst, and the emptiness beyond

The game of love I played, with arrogance and pride,
And every flame I lit, too quickly, quickly died,
The friends I made, all seemed somehow to drift away,
And only I am left, on stage to end the play

There are so many songs in me, that won't be sung,
I feel the bitter taste, of tears upon my tongue,
The time has come for me to pay,
For yesterday, when I was young

It certainly becomes more common as we get older.  My sympathies to you and the family.. My wife and I should really talk about the eventuality.  It seems she doesn't want to face it yet and I am somewhat numb to it unfortunately as I lost a lot of friends in my early 20's while I was motorcycle racing.  Thanks for the reminder of diligence.

My sympathy to you, RT. The grim reaper has been visiting more and more around my circle and such an event is a difficult reminder of our own mortality. You didn't say, but I presume the wife survives? It'll be especially tough for her.

A year ago GR came and took my best friend's wife; she hadn't even reached 50 and left behind a 16-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl. This, after BF had divorced wife #1 (no kids) due to her chronic unfaithfulness and complete lack of repentance. BF's no. 2 was delightful and I still find it extremely difficult to fathom that she's gone.

BF and his kids have been counseled and he is just now starting to look ahead to the rest of his life (as well as that of his kids).
