Then I'd taken the kiss of seedcake back from his mouth
Going deep South, go down, mmh, yes,
Took six big wheels and rolled our bodies
Off of Howth Head and into the flesh, mmh, yes,
He said I was a flower of the mountain, yes,
But now I've powers o'er a woman's body, yes.
Stepping out of the page into the sensual world.
Stepping out...
To where the water and the earth caress
And the down of a peach says mmh, yes,
Do I look for those millionaires
Like a Machiavellian girl would
When I could wear a sunset? mmh, yes,
And how we'd wished to live in the sensual world
You don't need words--just one kiss, then another.
Stepping out of the page into the sensual world
Stepping out, off the page, into the sensual world.
And then our arrows of desire rewrite the speech, mmh, yes,
And then he whispered would I, mmh, yes,
Be safe, mmh, yes, from mountain flowers?
And at first with the charm around him, mmh, yes,
He loosened it so if it slipped between my breasts
He'd rescue it, mmh, yes,
And his spark took life in my hand and, mmh, yes,
I said, mmh, yes,
But not yet, mmh, yes,
Mmh, yes.
I was preparing onboarding docs and you address both beginners and intermediates. A short anecdote proved that you keep the tone professional but warm. The pacing made a long topic feel short. 강남 보스턴 https://boston.isweb.co.kr/
I'd compare her to Björk in terms of her inventiveness and musical vocabulary.

RP really needs to expand the available tracks from Kates albums. So many diversity on each album to limit it. Do people even know Prince and Clapton are on Red Shoes?
So upload some songs you'd like to hear!
Can't hardly wait!
She is a peach and just so, so gifted but she do suffer from anxiety about doing stuff so my friend fingers are crossed.
Can't hardly wait!Kate Bush will ALWAYS command 10/10.
Couldn't agree more. She is a musical Goddess.
Irish pipes are not what I would expect to hear on a song suggesting steamy sex, but I guess it works.
Davy Spillane – uilleann pipes

Hi Fred, I don't know if what I'm going to reveal will spoil your dreams or will be soothing for you, but this is not a recent photo of Kate.
Uilleann pipes.
as featured heavily in many Metal songs by Nightwish.. Nothing says Metal Musician like Uilleann Pipes, Whistles, Bouzouki, and oh, he (Troy Donockley) also plays Guitar.

Works for me!
I really like the use of those instruments. I assume they are some kind of bagpipe?
Uilleann pipes.
Not quite sure what that means, but it's definitely Kate.
Yes it most definitely was! I had a poster of it on my wall in my college dorm (no one else knew who she was). It was taken by photographer Gered Mankowitz who has taken a lot of famous rock photos.

Well, I suppose you can interpret the image however you want, but please don't project your feelings about the photo onto me and "everybody else here".
...not to mention the projection onto Bush herself.

But that is so not her personality. Other women would love to have thousands upon thousands of horny men lusting after them.
Not Bush.
She expressed some regret in regards to that and other photos from the period.
Listen carefully to Kate Bush. Her head is in a totally different place. Sure, some of her stuff is totally sensual. We can have powerfully 'sensual' without being 'sexual'.
Make more sense now?

I just thought it was a beautiful photo, and song.
Not quite sure what that means, but it's definitely Kate.
OK. Let me put it in stark terms. You and everybody else here wants to fuck young Kate Bush.

Great album, had it on repeat as I pulled all-nighters towards the end of my degree. A lovely foil to all the caffeine coursing through my veins. That Bulgarian choir she used, amazing, I've since caught some of that four/five part harmony stuff live in Bulgaria. So close to dissonance but always resolved.
I can't believe that Kate Bush is my age. I think it's fair to say that she's aged rather better than myself :o)
"Sensual" is the word I've always used to describe her music, going back to the early days.
Must admit that the photo is a bit 'arresting'. ......
But it is so NOT Kate Bush.

You're mistaken.
Same magical blend of voice and uilleann pipes.
Both are amazing.
I hope that Bill had this planned, otherwise, what an amazing coincidence.
I saw the last performance of the Firesign Theater, and this was how why ended their show/career, with Phil Proctor moving from their written material (some new, some old) into this soliloquy.
I rested my head back onto the back of my chair, closed my eyes, and just existed in one of the great moments of my life. Such an experience.
yes i said i will yes

So big eyes

Howth Head is just north of Dublin Bay (famous residents included Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy fame, U2 Drummer Larry Mullen, Brendan Gleeson, F1 World Champion Damon Hill, many members of The Dubliners, Saoirse Ronan, Dolores O'Riodan of The Cranberries, Enya, Moya Doherty and John McColgan (creators of Riverdance)). So the link is there, I guess.
You guess?
“Originally when I wrote the song The Sensual World, I had used text from the end of Ulysses but was disappointed not to receive permission,” said the singer.
“But when I came to work on this current project I though I would ask for permission again and this time they said yes. The song has now been retitled Flower of the Mountain and I am delighted that I have had the chance to fulfil my original concept.”
After 22 years it's yes, yes, yes to Kate Bush and Molly Bloom

either way i likey
The Sensual World is the first song on the album.

I suddenly have a whole new appreciation for Kate Bush.
Back when SNL had interesting bands. That was how I discovered her music as well.

1978 - Kate sang The Man with the Child in his Eyes. She was phenominal visually and vocally.
here's a link to that performance, Paul Schaffer on piano

After watching that vid, I'd have to say that Kate was on the Piano - Paul just played it ;-)
The pipes are actually playing a famous Macedonian folk dance :) It's traditionally played on bagpipe.

Thank you

..... I agree with some others here that "The Kick Inside" is one of her best albums.
Good to know. Thanks. Must explore more Kate Bush. Seems that artists I enjoy and fans that share my tastes all hugely admire Kate Bush.

Kate Bush performs Wuthering Heights on Top of the Pops in 1978
.
In March 2014, Bush announced a 22-night residency called "Before the Dawn" in London from 26 August – 1 October 2014 at the Hammersmith Apollo, her first live shows in 35 years. The tickets sold out in 15 minutes. The BBC reviewed the tour positively.

..... it certainly doesn't
Randy; she does not tour.
My God, I feel old! I remember first seeing her on Saturday Night Live in the late '70s (when Eric Idle of Monty Python introduced her) and she couldn't have been any more than 18 years old at the time. Sitting on top of the piano and I think she sang "Those Heavy People" and "Man with the Child in His Eyes". I agree with some others here that "The Kick Inside" is one of her best albums.
"The Kick Inside" has some great stuff on it, but her voice has really filled out since then. I like the later versions of the material from that album better for that reason.
...wow.....
.....Wondering how Bjork's Big Time Sensuality would follow this?
Like a warm wet tongue slowing rotating in my ear.......MMMMMMMM......YEsssssss
Some of her work is now a bit dated but some of her classics belong here.
my dog does that to me when i'm sleeping on the couch. not my favorite thing actually........didn't know dogs listened to kate bush
was wondering why my computer was on when i got home and why i was missing half a gallon of milk!
The character in the song is Molly Bloom, from James Joyces' Ullysses, so if you know her soliloquy at the end of the book, the use of Molly's "yes" is um... yeah, "promising"!

She works for you… or she doesn't. This song has lost a bit of the specialness it had the first 50 times I listened to it, but, as Queen Lucia noted, the opening bells still push the hand over to turn up the volume just a little…

I completely agree, "The Kick Inside" is wonderful and one of my favorites.

Thank you for putting this together — the pacing keeps the reader engaged from start to finish. I shared this with a colleague earlier because each section builds naturally on the one before it. I shared this with a colleague earlier because the post answers the why behind the what, which I really value. The clarity here saved me a lot of confusion I had been struggling with. The writing style is welcoming, which makes a technical topic feel approachable. I am glad I took the time to read the whole thing carefully. 주소야 https://jusoya2026.clickn.co.kr/
