I need a mirror
In the eyes of a man
I need no protection from my
Bulletproof plan

Cause I've got a ticket
For all that I lack
You might think that I'm gone for good
But I know that I'm coming back

Sit at my table
Sip from my bowl
I feel like I know you now
And I will do until I get old

You might not see me
Or trust that I'll stay
But there's no sense in traveling
If we've already been that way

Night is an adder
Hidden in grass
Bite like her life depends on it
And waits to see how long you last
But you know better
You stand your ground
It might just sting a little
B'she knows you're sticking around

The beauty of uncertainty (beauty of uncertainty)[x8]

Definitely similarities to Morcheeba
I’m really liking KT Tunstall. Cool song.
Great ! I love it. The right spirit.

Another song no one will play except RP.  This not always a good  thing.  Why is that?
One of the few times I've used PSD because whatever plays will be literally better than nothing.

Yes, it did.  And I'm clicking & clicking & K.T. isn't coming back.  OK, now it is.

Songs (2016)  KURT COBAIN by LOVEMAYU

In music happens a little bit of everything, sometimes we're surprised positively and others negatively. On this songs i was surprised also. Negatively. Songs (if you can call!!) commonplace and slight pop sounds continuously and unabashedly vulgar and lightly softened up. This happens when KT career pointed to an increase of quality of content and attitude in the music. Why is this now? There may be several reasons, but i only can think of for now, may have to do with specific options and opportunism of market, mundane and ordinary contents to more easily penetrate the youth market (which eventually produces more sales). Makes sense and is it worth an artist allowed to do this? On the one hand, you can do it or not, to me it's a preventable error, at this stage of the championship of the career of an artist with 41 years of age, no longer is a child. Even that resulting additional profits, not being sure that happens. On the other hand, leads us to question the goals of the artist. Artistic integrity? or market purposes?
So we conclude that way: the artists also have the right to their temporary musical zany antics and rantings, for reasons that transcend the objectives, or merits, or artistic quality. Therefore commercial.
And, if perhaps, this means a "artistic somersault" to continue in the future, so it might not be a bad idea this artist devote to cooking......
Wonder fella (Smileys) by EhsartemNote: This cd KIN. hasn't shown up here, and it's good to continue, and if it happens, it will be for the same reasons described above related.

What do you call a statistician?  Someone good with numbers but who doesn't have the personality for accounting.  Nyuck nyuck nyuck.
I like the tunes I've heard from KT. She's soulful and sometimes rocks out, but she's not as angsty as Adele and Florence (and the Machine).
As the story (song) unfolds it becomes more and more intense and the finish is spectacular.
We are enjoying this.

Oh, the audacity!  Perish the thought of songwriters being introspective.

Love everything she does except the Black Horse. Acoustic Extravaganza is one of my most played albums.

So then, the band..

Sam Lewis on guitar on the left
Obviously KT Tunstall on vocals and guitar
Kenny Dickenson (who went mental and broke a fluffy drumstick) on keyboard, trumpet and some other stuff
Luke Bullen on drums (
drummer and percussionist, joined Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros)
Arulf Linder on bass and cello
Plus Cat Sforza and Gita Harcourt as backing vocals

A nice alterantive to the pop-pop- poppy stuff... ..
I was really suprised to find out this song was by Her as i really can't stand her music as i am so used to hearing here crappy songs played to death on crappy commercial radio stations.

Fair point - I'm nostalgic for the days I lived in the middle of the bush for 10 years with no radio and no TV and just a regular supply of CDs sent by friends - pure, uncluttered listening, free of overplay and opinion. It saddens me that I don't sit down and listen to a whole album so often these days. Life back amongst civilisation is too fragmented.

I had a friend who did exactly that, and I'm nostalgic for the days when I used to accompany him to HMV on his occasional trips home and help him fill up a shopping trolly with CDs and then watch the look of amazement on the shop assistant's face.

Nice to have him around again though.

I really like the way this piece builds up.

 I disagree completely with the first two sentences, but the last metaphor is funny! {#Roflol}

This song is really growing on me, as is KT herself. Edging towards a nine and a bit of a crush... {#Hearteyes}

Mrowl! I love a strong woman with a big instrument :o). Crass innuendo aside, I've always thought that KT is one Fife's better exports, together with Ian Rankin and King Creosote (a childhood mate of hers), with intelligent music and a strong voice, and this number reinforces that view. I must get my mitts on this CD at some point. 8 from the Nottingham jury.

Edit: I bought this CD up in Orkney a few weeks back, and it's the dog's bollox, every song a cracker. And yes, I'd have bought it even without herself and her big instrument and kinky boots on the cover, honest :o)

If she does more stuff like this, that shows what an appealing vocalist she can be, she could quite possibly turn me into a fan.  Certainly got tired of her other, overplayed stuff.
Another artists I seriously didn't get the first time I saw her (saw her Jools Holland solo thing with the delay pedal).  But then perhaps this album is just that much better material?  Not sure.  Liking what I've heard recently though.

a solid NEGATIVE 2 just due to the number of times we are subjected to hearing her.

Lovely song.
Wow. I had no idea that was her. She does have a good singing voice!
yeah...she nurtures my addiction to pop songs with trick lyrics....my lasting guilty pleasure...
KT Tunstall is the most refreshingly unique voice to come along in many years. You might be able to name an artist that sounds remotely similar to her, but no one sounds just like her. Her unique voice alone has earned her a singular spot in the music industry. Add to that the absolutely great songs that will stand the test of time and the performances that she delivers, I get excited every time she turns up on RP or anywhere else.

When people see some things as beautiful, other things become ugly. When people see some things as good, other things become bad. Being and non-being create each other. Difficult and easy support each other. Long and short define each other. High and low depend on each other. Before and after follow each other. Therefore the Master acts without doing anything and teaches without saying anything. Things arise and she lets them come; things disappear and she lets them go. She has but doesn't possess, acts but doesn't expect. When her work is done, she forgets it. That is why it lasts forever.
Well, crap. So much for rating the song...
