Is this peppy?

Is this bouncy?

Back and forth. Back and forth.  How can one person decide?

Is that anything like 'cellar door'?
I will add my voice to the chorus of oldies (69) who actually get occasional pleasure from this song. But you have to admit that Weird Al's video parody is absolutely brilliant.

At first I thought it was a Pink Floyd remix.

There's always one jerk in every crowd who has to make some idiotic political statement.  Let me buy you a clue, enjoy the music and keep your political views to yourself.
Five... and counting...

I'm thinking a more avuncular figure would be more suitable than a pop.  Something like, oh I don't know, how about an Uncle Joe?  Who can you trust if not old Uncle Joe?  Uncle Joe has your back.

I will always love this album. I listened to it after I did a 27.3 mile fast-pack on the kesugi ridge trail in Denali S.P. in 2007, during which I was struck by lightning at mile 18, and then had to bike back another 17 miles to my car. When I got back to my car and tended to my injuries and started driving home to Fairbanks, where I lived then...I played Cosmic Game over and over, reflecting on the fact that I was still alive. All their music makes me feel good!

Very cool experience.  I, too, link music to events in my life.  After nearly57 years, I have lots of musical stories!

Even Yoko Ono would have sounded fairly good—I think —at the end of your ordeal. Glad you're OK...

Sheesh. They're nothing like the Stones. That's like saying that Mozart doesn't have the same patriotic fervor of Toby Keith. In both cases, yeah, maybe so, but what's the point? Does that basically mean that anything that isn't the Stones or doesn't slavishly imitate them is weak? Puleeeeaze.
Sounds like Bill has 'left the building' and hit 'repeat play' on the track listings again!!

I do too. However it just underscores the weakness of this compared to the Stones. This lacks an edge, an energy. It sounds like Santana playing in the lounge of a hotel.

Oi! Theivery Corporation has had so many wonderful vocalists throughout their various releases. Singers from Brasil, Cape Verde, France, Canada, the Caribbean, and more. It is fantastic to listen to one of their CDs and to hear so many languages represented. :)
Going to their first of 3 shows at the 9:30 Club in DC tonight! Can't Wait! Also, you can read a review of their album, The Cosmic Game, that I wrote on my website here: https://musiccapitol.blogspot.com/2005/06/thievery-corporation-cosmic-game.html Look for my review of the show at https://musiccapitol.blogspot.com/2005/07/review-thievery-corporation-930-club.html

Excellent CD, best of the year, or even of 2004 IMHO...
I have agreed with all the songs I have heard from these guys. S.
I'm at work doing my thing and out of nowhere I notice this is not English... but I understand it! It took me a while to figure out that it was Portuguese! Hahaha I've been in the US for such a long time that when I hear my own native language it sounds weird, so unexpected... Great to know that more modern bands are using Brazilian influences... Our music is so rich. The best, in my opinion.
This has SUCH a Santana Abraxas groove -- I keep waiting for Carlos to come in with a solo...
