There are things in this life I,
Would rather not sacrifice.
You girl I could not live without,
And you know there's no doubt that
All I mind's, losing you.
And I don't mind losing sleep,
Pray the lord my soul to keep.
I'll get plenty of rest when I am dead,
But 'till then wont you share my bed 'cause
All I mind's, losing you
All I mind's, losing you.
And now that I'm losing money,
There's nothing this life owes me.
I've been giving more than I can receive, but for,
For you there is no receipt so,
All I mind's, losing you.
All I mind's, losing you...ohh...
And now that I'm growing old,
Losing teeth and growing more.
Not as handsome as I never was but,
You loved me just because.
All I mind's, losing you.
There are things in this life I,
Would rather not sacrifice.
You girl I can not live without,
And you know there's no doubt that
All I mind's, losing you.
Oh, all I mind's, losing you.
All I mind's, losing you.
Would rather not sacrifice.

Saw JBT in Newquay on Lusty Glaze Beach in August of 2015. Fantastic show! Even though by the end of it we were rain soaked and freezing...watching him play Ocean was more than worth it.
Very nice! ...strange album cover art! ...it doesn't seem to reflect the music. ...oh well. ...you don't listen to the album cover!
Cool.
For those who enjoyed John Butler, if you haven't already.. give Xavier Rudd a listen.
Your welcome.

Great to hear John Butler Trio on RP. This is a great album! I especially like "Better Than".
A tad different from Sophie Zelmani's atmospheric "Losing You."
Love it. How about playing "Better Than" off of Grand National?
Great song, I love this album too it makes me smile a lot!
More JBT please!

I don't see how people could not like this song. Great guitar, and his voice is great. Superb.

Saw them LIVE in Alaska at a small venue before I even knew who they were. The show was amazing & so was John & the band. Got to meet with them after & they were all so gracious & down to earth as they signed autographs, took pictures & the like. I found out later more about them and cant get enough of them now. I feel blessed to have seen them in such an intimate setting and to have met such amazing people.

By the way, does anyone else think that in the album cover it looks like John needs to get out his hanky and have a good wipe?
Now I do.
Nice. Always enjoy and appreciate new discoveries on RP. Thanks Bill.
I like it.

With the song average at 6.7, you're in the majority. Pay no mind to the tin ears below. Great tune!

At least we know who 2 of the 5 are...
After taking this song for a while, I now have to take my headphones off - it's that bad.
Terrible follow up to "When in Rome" I promise

Like it,Roy. Saury...
sucks
guess it's all in the sequence...
Reminds me of Tracy Chapman.
Where am I?
I usually like the Trio, but hey this one is way too boring...
P'rhaps I have just been off the airwaves too long (it was only a month) but I still like this one-
Hence, music is so subjective...personally, cudo's Bill! Keep up the noble cause!
sucks
Next please!
Hey this sounds a lot like that folksy singer-songwriter guy. No, not that one. The other three thousand.

Yeah, I can totally see why you'd slam them for spelling (and not at all for expressing an anti-JBT view).
That spelling couldn't possibly have anything to do with the T and Y being right next to each other on the keyboard.
/*end sarcasm*/
Noy my thing...
Nor spelling, apparently...
Likeable tune, anyway. This song's been so thoroughly flogged on RP that now I can't tell if I have a problem with the song itself or just the fact that it seems to be on here... once a day? Surely not.
It definitely feels like it though.
I just had a vision of a room in hell with JBT on infinite loop. *shudder*
Sweet song.
Very much an improvement over Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Please
Read The Letter. I've no trifles against these two. I just would
have expected something other.

I was also at this gig. I goto a lot of gigs and I've never heard an audience so into the music. The band did the fake encore, but if they didn't play a bit more there may have been a riot. :)
Great gig. Great band. Can't wait to see them again.
I like this band very much... one of my favourites

I'm in full agreement with all the below comments.
Great live act and excellent album!
If you buy/dl an album this weekend, this should be it. One of the best releases this year.

I completely agree. back in June this band got an entire Seattle audience to get out of their seats and stand up for an entire concert...this does not happen in Seattle

Twice in one week?! Overplayed!
I'm going back to FM where this sort of thing never happens!
yeh pretty good...but they're no Derek Trucks Band lol
Excellent song... there aren't many JBT songs I don't like, if any.
Lovely.
JBT FTW. Great performer. If you like his studio stuff, you must see him live. Environmentalist with talent....lots of talent. One of the best acts live you can see.

Very, very nice.
If the whole album is as good as this, then I am going to get a copy myself!! Thanks RP!

I saw JBT 2 nights ago in Alice Springs. Awesome gig - these guys can really play! Strongly recommend if you ever get the chance.
What a great album this is! I took a road trip recently and popped this bad boy in and didn't take it out for seven hours.

ack... thanks for this!!
