Lying on the ground
Feeling like a dyin' man
No reality
Fading memories

Following the crowd
Coulda been a stronger man
Plead insanity
I will die in these

Final days on the planet
Here we are, on the ground
Every day, automatic
Here we are, goin' 'round and 'round and 'round

Cryin' on the phone
Tryin' to make you understand
Livin' honestly
Is so hard for me

Such a heavy load
You know I really need a friend
You should walk with me
We belong in these

Final days on the planet
Here we are, on the ground
Every day, automatic
Here we are, goin' 'round

Final days on the planet
Failing arms, breaking down
Every day, automatic
Here we are, goin' 'round and 'round and 'round

YES!  My coworker pays for Serious xm, Spooify, and some other lame streaming service. EVERY time he comes into the office he asks "what is that" (RP) of course!!!!!  A bargain at any price.
I could swim in this voice

Natalie Portman would slap you right across the face for repeating that BS.

And you would deserve it.
He's pretty cool this guy. Really enjoy his stuff, very original!
turn it up, stop what you're doing
I'll take... songs that blow my mind out of my ears for $1,000 Alex. Truly incredible.
I bought this album, thanks to hearing it first on RP. I listened to it start to finish several times this past weekend, sitting on the couch and reading while trying to recover from Covid. Such a great listen.
This feels a bit older than it is. It also feels like it's from the future.
I love the way this music makes me feel the past, present  and future all at the same time.

good but boring
Just upped it from 9 to 10. I rarely do 10s.

Took the words right out of my mouth.
Yet another wonderful artist introduced to me by RP!! Sofakinggood!
Celestially beautiful 🥰
I've been hearing this for a 'minute'... Buy yourself a dream bitches...  Can't love this enough....

Absolutely.  Just bumped it to a 9.
some timing on hearing this song. Just came on after I saw a youtube video on water rights being bought along the Colorado river by a Wall St investment firm (essentially banking on continued draught in the West).

Simple done very well in a complex way.
Very pleasing sound.
I haven't heard a thing by this guy that doesn't reach out and grab me.
lyrics, guitar tone, snare, vocal... amazing.
The more I hear this the tune the more I like it. Bumped ++2, easy!
Am I listening to the same song with at least three different names?
Best album of 2019
U know I am from The Great White North...A lot of talent here. BUT i must confess.....States, Euro, Aussie, Asia, India....The English have the MOST & Best groups ever! Don't even get me started.

indeed. always stop to hear his stuff.
Every time I hear it I love it more!
Phenomenal piece of work that should go down in history as a major work of art.
another cosmic sounds song by radio paradise
Final days indeed...uncontrolled global warming, the decay of civility, the collapse of fiat currencies...not with a bang, but a whimper...

And our "leaders" all clinging to their perceived riches and power...

Hoping RP will reconsider submissions for other cuts off this album. Some UK critics included it on best album lists for the decade, though only released Nov 2019.

I submitted a live track of  Tell Me A Tale from an earlier album a while back, but got no traction on it. That performance is fantastic.
such a unique sound, never thought I liked this sort of track, but then again I've never heard a track like this....just enjoy it you fool I thought! No need to categorise or define....ethereal and haunting, just fantastic.
TOO MANY Plays, Bill.
Wow Bill! Is this spaced out Friday? Excellent set of stellar dreamy tunes! Nice
I love Michael and the mind that creates poignant moments with complicated phrasing. Better than godlike and if there was such an entity, it would fail to compare.

Yeah, he is exceptional. He'd be bigger if the current music scene wasn't so dominated by hip-hop, rap, American Idol, prefabricated pop. Imagine if he had come on the scene pre-2000

also 6 minutes plus.
Outside of work I listen to a lot of Symphonic Metal and Prog Metal and everyone comments "Why isn't Nightwish/Aryeon(et al) more popular in/on the US/UK/regular radio?" Greatest Show On Earth is a masterpiece, but 24 minute songs ain't getting much airplay, these days., and the shorter Aryeon songs need one or two others played with it for context, though his latest has some that could be decent radio fits, they still run longer than most PDs want.

I was a pilot for East African Airways in the mid 70s.  We did a lot of charters from Entebbe, carrying the Asians and unpopular Ugandans to a new life.  Felt so sorry for them at  the time. So many of them did so well.

Does Bill know he plays this everyday or is it an AI glitch?

From the data displayed just under the album cover, I can see that this has been played 7 times in the past 30 days.  I can see it on my Windows PC and my IOS iPhone app - I can't guarantee all other sources display it.  No overplaying or AI glitch here, just fine music. (Thanks Bill & Rebecca!) pxd
Wow. I had never heard this before today - One more thing that RP has sent me off to investigate and add to my Love This list! Music, Voice, lyrics - all of it
Does Bill know he plays this everyday or is it an AI glitch?
Overplayed.
Overplayed.
Overplayed.

Wish he would come to Chch NZ, sublime!
Was going to go back out to work, but I believe I will hold off for another 6 minutes.

OMG such a well-crafted song.  I could listen to him for hours.  I have happily turned many of my friends onto his music.
Great story about this talented man on CBS Sunday Morning...check it out! I remember hoping that Bill would play him....thanks dude!
Best album of 2019 right here
Poor Ludmila Tokov.

I am so grateful that Michael Kiwanuka's parents had the foresight and courage to escape Idi Amin's reign of terror in Uganda.  What a blessing they bestowed on the music world, including privileged citizens of first world countries like me, who won the lottery of life just by being born in the right place.
this is sooo good!
Great song, but I wish I could hear some different songs from him on RP.  Hear this one a lot.  Hint hint.
Really like Chris

A well-deserved Mercury award for this album
What superb track, coming as it dies from Brexit Britain and just as the climate starts spinning out of control. Music has always been a strong point of British culture. Michael Kiwanuka is a shining example of this. I grew up not far from Brixton, where reggae and other cultural highlights such as LKJ were active.
I look forward to more from this brilliant musician. Hopefully his final days are a long way away!
From 7 to 8 today. Just feelin it.
Just took this from 7 --> 8. Solid track!
This song is sad, but it takes you to a place that could be hopeful.
First I missed the London concerts early in the year that took place cause I hadn't heard the album yet but got into the November concert. So much anticipation. Never been sitting on a gig ticket so long. Then the stupid bloody rona comes along and now its in like September next year. Still both albums have been amazing and maybe by  then he has more new stuff too. Hopefully will be worth the wait when the gig finally goes ahead.
The John Lewis sample in 'Interlude (Loving the People)' - included here, particularly impactful right now.
The Music is very ... wow... so many sounds that come together and make it!  But his voice... man... the raspyness...reminds me of so many other musicians / singers!  He's badass! 9 in my book!
I absolutely love the Bonobo remix version of this song.
I love hearing the return of orchestral arrangements of soulful music. It captures some of the majesty of 70's era soul masterpieces from Marvin Gaye and others.

His music catches my ear every time.
Sem palavras!
Love this...reminds me of Marvin

this guy is the real deal, more power to him, he's our generation's Bill Withers. love the rhythm in this as well
Great voice indeed - my first song I heard from him was  'Home again' - can recommend that one too!

love this guy
Musically I think this is stunning and his voice sounds like Seal to me which is no bad thing. Fantastic combination. Winner Winner chicken dinner
Stopped me in my tracks. For the first time in years. My soul woke up and started to sing with it.
Fitting title in these trying times. Profound lyrics.
Hearing Charlie Brown's Parents in the background is really starting to grate on me.

It serves as series "Big Little Lies" opening credits.
Great one to watch.

This song instantly attracted my attention, pulling me out from my programming session!
Love Michael!
New for me, love it.

This album is amazing, RP should play more songs from it!
Loving that voice
Maybe i need to re-listen to this (or see this comment in the future and correct myself)

but we listened to this whole LP the other night and I and wife were kinds disappointed on how ":weak" it was....lacking any real "songs"

Similar to the disappointment of ouroboros (or whatever) by Ray Lamontagne

Yup.

Thanks to you and EasyRider, I clicked through to amazon.ca and the CD has been ordered.

Love the album cover.  Cheeky.
This is whole album has to be listened to,from beginning to end as it’s a masterpiece both lyrically and musically😊
Kiwanuka is receiving a tremendous amount of attention and well deserved praise for this recent "album".  Along with Danger Mouse, he has created a thematic record of our time, yet timeless. He has an old soul spreading hope and love, black or white.
Refer to Sound Opinions pod cast from Chicago for their review.
Sometimes I like the music, sometimes I like the voice. Seldom I like both! This...!
Outstanding talent👍
Loving everything he does right now~ more please!!
Damn good singer
I really liked another one of his songs Cold Little Heart after hearing it on RP. I'm really impressed with his songwriting skills.
