Starting over won't be easy, broken divided
Split tomorrow from today
Knowing what you know
Just makes it harder to think straight
Starting over after it breaks
Starting over when the story's got an astounding twist
You better turn that page
When push it comes to shove
We do not fall out of love
We double down, we do not fade

For all I know
This might be my last night
If that's how it goes, there's no one
I would rather be lying beside
When it all comes crashing
When it all comes crashing

Starting over won't be easy
Damage be damned
Please say you love me just as I am
Starting over won't be easy
Misunderstand that pattern
Fear is forcing your hand
Knowing what you know
Just makes it harder to think straight
Starting over after it all breaks
When push it comes to shove
We do not fall out of love
We double down, we do not fade

For all I know
This might be my last night
If that's how it goes, there's no one
I would rather be lying beside

If all we knew
Came crashing down tonight
I'd be with you, and there's no one
I would rather be dying beside

When it all comes crashing
All comes crashing down
When it all comes crashing
All comes crashing down

We'll come crashing down together
Don't expect to live forever
We'll come crashing down together
If it all comes crashing down tonight
We'll come crashing down together
Don't expect to live forever
We'll come crashing down together
When it all comes crashing, crashing, crashing

For all I know
This might be my last night
If that's how it goes, there's no one
I would rather be lying beside

If all we knew
Came crashing down tonight
I'd be with you, and there's no one
I would rather be dying beside
When it all comes crashing
When it all comes crashing
When it all comes crashing
When it all comes crashing

I really dig that guitar riff at the end of the chorus.
starting to feel like RP is regaining its groove

Thanks so much for sharing!

I like this song but is it just me or does it sound like 'Don't You Want Me' by Human League at times?

Dang, MrsKramer, I was just about to post the same thing, thinking I'd be the only one hearing the similarity. Cheers!

I usually can't stand it when people say a song sounds like another and the only reason I'm commenting is because had to see if it was just me.  Spot on. It's a great melody!

It's even worse when people start complaining that the voice of singer A resembles the voice of singer B...I mean, it's a person's voice, what should they do? "Oh no, I can't become a singer because people might be offended, that my voice is "too similar" to that of another one...!" Jeez...

I enjoy this more and more every time I hear it.  Great voice.

It's the Royale With Cheese of bands

As a Canadian, I represent!
I'm starting to miss all the other Metric tracks from Synthetica and Fantasies, like RP used to do.  Seems lately we're only hearing this one.
Sounds like Schlager
no sir I don't like it
I bought the first Metric album in 2003, and really liked how creative and new they sounded. Somehow, almost 20 years later, I'm amazed they that can still sound new & creative.  They never disappoint.

I heard this yesterday and I was like "whoa, Bill is playing contemporary pop music"?  I could swear that a lot of today's pop music uses that same chorus vocal riff and the accompanying guitar lick. Turns out it's Metric!

Reminds me of the German pop band 'Sandra' from back in the 80s
William mentioned that the album name is Formentera, which matches up with the Wiki, but the Album listed on the song page is incorrect (looks like it was copied off the song name).
The album for this song should be "Formentera," not the song title "All Comes Crashing".

Take the mic from your tonsils on the in-breath, luv! Do I detect the autotune as well? Otherwise a good sound.

Yeah, quite a bit of vocal processing going on there, including heavy use of autotune.  Sounds good though.  I think it blends well with the rest of the music.
Also a very nice new tune from this year! Respect to Alanna and William for this and all the other good new songs! Keep grooving on!
Kind of reminds me of that chick's voice from Single Gun Theory.

I was just thinking that about Shungudzo's "It's A Good Day To Fight The System".  It seems like it's on constantly, but it has the same 30-day count this one does: 10.  It's kind of fascinating that the brain equates something as being more frequent than it really is.  I don't understand it but I was definitely fooled.

The childishness of the "For all I know" vocal delivery really takes me out of this song...

Born in the year that wasn’t good for the Kennedy’s but I love Metric and this is very good too. Good new music.
Love this - seems like a strong album!
Metric and new Metric!!! Bravo Rebecca! love this
I like this, but I swear I've heard it before (and it's new). Thought it was an old song I couldn't quite recognize. Catchy though.
When it all comes crashing I want RP in my AirPods
Nice!

Awesome!  Glad they're still making new music.

Well that's a new one
Love this track and the slight feeling of melancholy it invokes. Metric have some amazing tracks!
So that's where Sheryl Crow went...
Some new influx is always welcome
Lovin' the evolution of Metric's sound
Wonderful! New Elvis C and now Metric!!  The feed was getting a bit samey-samey...
Awesome.  I really like Emily Haines' vocals.
Nice.  Foot-tapping-tastic.  Thanks RP.
