RETROFEST 18
NOVEMBER 22 2008
WOODSTOCK 1969 TRIBUTE BENEFIT CONCERT
BENEFITING SUNRISE DAY CAMP
A FREE CAMP FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER
at
THE SUNSET GRILL, SEAFORD, N.Y.*
FOR IMEDIATE RELEASE:   RETRO69 TO HOST RETROFEST 18, A WOODSTOCK 1969 TRIBUTE CONCERT TO BENEFIT SUNRISE DAY CAMP ON NOV 22 2008 AT THE SUNSET GRILL IN SEAFORD, NY.  On November 22, 2008 Allan Spielman and Retro69 will host a Woodstock 1969 tribute concert to benefit Sunrise Day Camp, a free day camp for children with cancer and their siblings. Sunrise Day Camp is a program of the Friedberg JCC in Oceanside .

Sunrise Day Camp, for children ages 3-16, is the only dedicated day camp in the nation for children with cancer, and their siblings. It is a camp designed to meet the emotional, social, recreational and physical needs of these children while allowing them to enjoy the comforts and safety of their own homes at night. Sunrise Day Camp is operated by the Friedberg JCC and is situated on the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds, a 300-acre wooded site that borders Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island in New York. Best of all, Sunrise Day Camp is offered on a non-sectarian basis free of charge to all children being treated for cancer and their siblings.
The concert will closely follow the instrumentation, and actual set list order of the bands that performed at the August 1969 Woodstock event.  Some of the artists to be covered at the event include John Sebastian, Tim Harden, Santana, Mountain, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, Grateful Dead, CCR, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Joe ****er, Country Joe and the Fish, Ten Years After, CSNY, The Band, Johnny Winter, Paul Butterfield, and Jimi Hendrix. The music will run non-stop from 8:30pm to 2:30am and include artists such as Eddie Kaercher who played with "The Band" as a guest at Woodstock 94 as well as local sensation Susan Wendelken of Dormitory Effect, who has performed live on satellite radio on comedian Jim Breuer's show "Breuer Unleashed".   The show is scheduled to run as follows:
