I don't know Dirty Dancing or Ghost, but I liked a lot of stuff he did. Really enjoyed his last series, The Beast, and he did seem like a way cool, down to earth person. Much too young...

not-a-fish wrote:That sucks...I got the impression he was a really cool guy. Yeah, I never really thought much of him, until I saw him on Dave when he was shilling the 'Julie Newmar' movie. He was still in over-the-top-drag-queen mode and was very funny. Then when he was diagnosed, and went back to work as much as he could, showed some real guts. He seemed like a class act, even if his movies were not exactly intellectual fare.

RIP Patrick. One of my best friends that I've known since I was 7 beat pancreatic cancer holistically. No chemo, no radiation.

BillnDollarBaby wrote:His determination to fight pancreatic cancer helped my grandmother keep up the fight against hers. I am just glad that he's out of pain (pancreatic is brutal) and selfishly, that he outlived her... if he had gone first it may have been too much for her to see that all over the news. Give her a break, she was a little out there after her 80th and the chemo intensified the dementia. If Patrick was her comrade, so be it. I still get weak in the knees over certain scenes in Dirty Dancing... and a few in Ghost... a definitely most of the scenes in Roadhouse. To one of the few Hollywood-ians who ever gave me the vapors. hear, hear
