The premier of Western Australia  Mark McGowan is calling for mining companies (in the plural) to "lift their standards".

Fortescue Metals Group looks like an interesting company.   Dividend yield 10.4%  PE ratio = 9.7.  The chart is to die for.

The decision to blast through a 46,000-year-old sacred Aboriginal site cost some top jobs. That doesn’t mean the company has a clean slate.

Australia has been, at least up until now, a very mining friendly jurisdiction.   Has this changed?
