Well I watched it and loved it. I cried like a baby and will definitely watch it again.

I didn't know what to think at first either but after a few days, and reading the article that dmax posted, I was content with the ending.

At my son's recommendation I streamed an episode of "Lost" from Netflix. Five days later I had run through the whole online catalog (all but the last season.) I don't have a TV so I had to wait for the DVD release. Just finished watching the last episode tonight. Not sure what I think just yet.

I was a late comer to Lost. In fact, it was by checking in to this thread that I decided I would give it a try (I am not a TV watcher). So I downloaded the first episode... and that was it for me! Immediate and complete addiction. I subsequently downloaded every single episode – gotta love piratebay – and watched them all in order over the course of a few months (thankfully without commercials!). So tonight I watched the grand finale'. Powerful. Emotional (like kysmet, I was dripping the salty stuff from my eyes throughout). Well done. Satisfying.

I'll give it a year, then watch them all over again. Yep.

Where'd you find this? And what does it mean?? Are they going to continue the series?

Questions, always questions!

When I watched it, my reaction was, WTF?  But after I started thinking about it and realizing what it meant, I liked the premise.  Yes, there are some loose ends (did they ever explain the numbers?) but I'm still happy with it.  It was great to see Boone (love Ian somerhalder) and Charlie.  I think I cried every time the characters recognized each other...I'm such a softy.

Did anyone watch the Jimmy Kimmel special?  I recorded it but haven't watched yet.  I heard it was pretty lame but I'll still watch it.

As a side note.  I never liked Juliet.  omg, she bugged the crap out of me.  Hated her demeanor and stupid facial expressions.

edit:  great article by the Bad Robot guy.

Pretty much spot on.

The ending was good, far better than many shows that have gone out with a planned ending.  It was a great ride and worth another look from beginning to end.  This truly was a trip down the rabbit hole.

What ever the case, I really enjoyed watching a great adventure and was totally able to suspend disbelief and take it at face value as it unfolded.  I'm glad it got its full run and do not regret investing my time following the show.

I watched the finale last night, and agree with you ... I think if ABC was really smart they'd start re-airing the show, from the beginning, right now. I'd watch it again!

Not to nit-pick, but Juliet was in the church at the end, and she was not from season 1 nor on the plane. I guess her time with Sawyer (and before that with Jack, and before that with Ben) made her a part of their little Ra-Tet (to borrow a phrase from Stephen King that I think fits pretty nicely, yes). I believed Ben could have come in if he liked, but it's nice to hear from the horse's mouth (sort of) that he in fact chose to stay and help Danielle, Alex, etc. which is what I choose to believe from his final scene and not that he got the Susan Peviense treatment... (two for one fantasy literature references today!)

PS, where'd you find that article you quoted???
