Wish away the nightmare
You got the light, you can feel it on your back
A light, you can feel it on your back
Your jigsaw falling into place

Maybe one day we'll be strong enough
To build it back again
Build the peaceable kingdom
Build it back again

Warm and lovely mystery, can you hear the choir?
Voices can no longer hold my desire
Just abandon your sad history and meet me in the fire
Angels wait to take me higher and higher
Higher and higher

The secret rules of engagement are hard to endorse
When the appearance of conflict meets the appearance of force
But I can guarantee, there'll be no knock on the door
I'm total pro here, that's what I'm here for

Was it the blue night, gone fragile?
Was it both men in a wonder steady gone under?
Was it the light ways, so frightening?
Was it a two wills?
One a mirror, holding us dearer now

When night comes and the sun has gone down,
I almost start feeling melancholy;
I'd stay below your window
When night comes and the sun has gone down.

Scars are evidence of a life well-lived, full of adventures & random events & not just few questionable choices & bumps on the road. Gathering enough wisdom along the way to learn we're not all that wise at times. Loves lost but precious & worth it all the same, Diamond Lucys in the sky. Unshakeable bonds that seem to come from nowhere or divine intervention or radio waves. Brothers in arms, witnessing each other's suffering as the battle raged higher. And in the end, coming together, right now. The scars are but a small payment for the grand adventure of it all.

Well, certainly hard-lived. There is a price, measured in cost. Eventually, everything...

See the couple there in slow motion
Flapping like a flag in the breeze
But why I'm here
I ain't got no notion
I got people to please
But I'm dying on my knees

Though my feet aren't on the ground, I been standin' on the sound Of some open-hearted people goin' down. Yeah, I still do that. Rarely leave home without one. Doesn't mean that I will always use it, but they do come in handy when needed. Take last Thursday. Going home from work, it was full stop on the freeway. Called the wife to ask her to look on the net and find out what happened Wipeout ahead in the middle lane of a three lane section of the freeway. Took about 45 minutes to go a half a mile, driving a stick in my 04 Civic. Said eff it, broke it out and cranked the radio. Made it to second about 3 times. It was first gear other than that. Didn't make it any easier, but it helped with my patience.

Think I'll
roll another number
for the road,
I feel able to get under any load.
Though my feet
aren't on the ground,
I been standin' on the sound
Of some open-hearted people
goin' down.

Cut by the beauty of jagged mountains
I've been cut by the beauty of jagged mountains
And cut by the love that flows like a fountain
from God
