Sun risin' on the shoulder
Won't take much to grow us older, no
Just a little time

I was in the livin' callin'
Could it be that you were callin' too
My, my

I think about it

Blows out & bowls ya over
Don't take long to realize, we're standin'
On shaky ground

Ridin' on a backroad dreamin'
Hear a voice tellin' you, you're losin'
Something dear

Do ya doubt it?

In the mighty river, rollin' along
In the mighty river, losin' hold
In the mighty river, over my head
Oh, oh

Write me down as one who knew
Revenge means more revenge on you
What ya gonna do?

In a song that i once sang
I heard a bell & it just rang my blues
Right away

Think about it

In the mighty river, rollin' along
Oh, washin' clean
In the mighty river, i'm over my head
Oh, tearin' free

This is a joke, right? Right? This was recorded during a drunken Kareoke session, wasn't it? C'mon... you can tell me!

Interesting comment ... and I don't recognize any previous posters' noms de plume.  I like this song, probably because it sounds like the hillbilly music of my childhood.

it has merit, sure, but it's definitely not my style. too many twangy strings.
Isn't this a Dead song? (yawn)
I really like this group's sound. To me it's got bits of Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band along with Sam Bush. I think the singer, though resembling Arlo, is a weak point. The instruments and the tune itself are great.
This is very cool..........play more of this kind of music.
Kinda sounds like Acoustic Junction. Did they change their name again?

Funny. I was going to say heavy Dead influence. (Particular the tone and phrasing of the vocals.) Not at all bad...
Freaky Cross-Audio Incident #237 Just before this song began: * Bill was speaking * the phone company droid had broken into my on-hold experience to say that it would be at least five minutes before a human being got on the phone Just as this song began, the phone company muzak came on: Carol of the Bells, by Mannheim Steamroller or some equivalent, in the same key as this song. I started composing this comment, and at the start of this paragraph, this song had, like, a "middle eight" break--and the muzak song did, too. I was typing, so I don't know whether both songs ended their break simultaneously, but I can say that hearing these two songs together was ten times freakier than seeing The Wizard of Oz and hearing Dark Side of the Moon, since I was prepared for the latter. Anybody got a copy of this song and Mannheim Steamroller's version of Carol of the Bells?
