Cursed with a love that you can't express,
It's not for a fuck or a kiss.
Rather give the world away than wake up lonely.
Everywhere and every way I see you with me.

Crowd surf off a cliff, land out on the ice
Crowd surf off to sea, float toward the beach

If you find me, hide me, I don't know where I've been
If you find me, hide me, I don't know where I've been

Are we breathing, are we breathing, are we wasting our breath?
It won't be enough to be rich.

All the babies tucked away in their beds, we're out here screaming,
"The life that you thought through is gone."
Can't wind down, the ending outlasting the mood.
I wake up lonely.

Crowd surf off a cliff, land out on the ice
Crowd surf off to sea, float toward the beach

If you find me, hide me, I don't know where I've been.
When you phone me tell me everything I did.
If I'm sorry you lost me you'd better make it quick,
'Cause this call costs a fortune and it's late where you live,
It's late where you live.

Rather give the world away than wake up lonely.
Everywhere and every way I see you with me.

All the babies tucked away in their beds, we're out here screaming,
"The life that you thought through is gone."
Can't wind down, the ending outlasting the mood.
I wake up lonely
I wake up lonely

Metric at the B.C Virgin fest, you can feel the love radiating off her. (Shot while she performed "Stadium Love").

I can totally understand why people might hate this. Me, I love it.

This one is growing on me - piano arrangement reminds me of Joni's Court n Spark work

Hmmm...it's not a bad tune, but I'm not at all in this space right now.  I know it's morning over there, but it's 8pm here and I'm trying to be motivated to clean my apartment.  This tune makes me want to...oh, I dunno...get drunk and contemplate the struggles of life.

LOL!

{#Yes}  Yes. It's the very same. {#Wink}

I guess my ears are totally different because I don't hear Jenny at all in Emily's voice.

Not very deep.  Not very interesting.  Not offensive either.  Wouldn't download it if it were a free MP3.

Boring, obscure, and depressing.
i'm pretty sure she starts off 90% of her songs with that same riff.
It really plods along without much variance and so yah, the lyrics get some focus . . .
her voice reminds me of Jenny Lewis
This song is ho-hum.  But I feel bad giving it a 3, because her voice is pretty and the music isn't horrid, just dull.  So I gave it a 4. {#Eh}
does emily haines have any relation to metric?  i hear the same voice...

Love the melody and piano in this song. It's unique... which is nice.
What a sh!tty frackin song{#Puke}

Ok, that's the second song on this CD I like. I think it's time to buy the CD.
A 50/50 on this first listen. I could see where I could be in this space...but right now I am not in it.
This isn't her strongest song by far, but I love her voice so much I barely care.
Not my cuppa tea. A bit slow and uninteresting. Apart from the "Did she just say Fog?" in the second line of course...

YES!! Bill added my upload! I just checked my upload statuses and saw this one was added straight away. I hope I get to hear it next time it's played. It's easily my favorite off this album.
boring he says.. and probably he is :-)
Listen to all the fantastic songs at Radio Paradise is really cool ;0)
This is nice, yes! bobringer wrote:
