What I have is nothing to my name
No property to speak of
And no trophy for my game
Intangible and worthless
My assets on the page
My coffers are empty
Any offer of safety has faded away
But what I have
What I have is

On an ordinary day
The extraordinary way
You take what I can give and you treasure it
On an ordinary day
The extraordinary way
You turn to me and say, I believe in this

That makes me lucky
God, I'm lucky, so much luckier than I ever thought I'd be
'Cause what I have (what I have)
Means so very little to this world
A promise that I kept and a bridge that I saved before it burned
The sacrifice that I made
Brought me to my knees
A choice that cost me everything and set somebody else free
But what I have
Is the value that you see in these things

On an ordinary day
The extraordinary way
You take what I can give and you treasure it
On an ordinary day
The extraordinary way
You turn to me and say, I believe in this

That makes me lucky
God I'm lucky, so much luckier than I ever thought I'd be
'Cause what I have
Is the value that you see in these things

And everytime I forget those things you bring them right back to me

With your patience
When I'm blinding mad
And your passion
When I'm really, really bad
And your eyes
Taking in everything I am
And your body and soul and the way that you know
How I treasure you

On an ordinary day
The extraordinary way
You take what I can give and you treasure it
On an ordinary day
The extraordinary way
You turn to me and say, I believe in this

That makes me lucky
God I'm so lucky
So much luckier than I ever thought I'd be

On an ordinary day
The extraordinary way
You take what I can give and you treasure it
On an ordinary day
The extraordinary way
You turn to me and say, I believe in this

Great artist! Listen to the first two albums! Brilliant!
Love Poe's voice!  I don't think this is boring... but then again, I'm at work.  I appreciate the mellow-ness
Extraordinary boring...
Cool 2 a.m. club song. 'bout it. A 5? But kind of a nice love tune.
A wee bit of Aimee Mann methinks. I like this.
Eating lunch at work and reading an e-book and the little voices in my head start saying "What Poe song is this?"
Oh.
It's a Conjure tune....
started as 8 cuz of the cool riffs, midway got it down to 7 cuz it's too simple and unimaginative, towards the end her voice started to annoy me when she does all those trills completely off key, so final score is 6.
POE startied gigging again in LA this year. Do a search online and you can sign up on her mailing list. Supposedly, she has some new stuff coming out soon.

Conjure one has kind of a "formula" to their songs. But it is a damn good formula! :-)
Love it!
Is Poe a full time member of Conjure One? Everytime I here them she is singing.
Poe is just so hot.  Just can't get enough.  {#Clap}
Have to agree - Poe's voice is fantastic.  She took an ordinary song and moved it closer to extraordinary.

The lyrics for song as so embarrassingly bad.

Maybe it's the interpretation that is embarrassing? {#Moon} They seem decent to me and I'm a lyrics snob. {#Snooty}

and suddenly it's the 80's all over again... {#Arrowl}
Conjure One - Extraordinary Ways
Pacha Massive - Pachangueando
Erin McKeown - Blackbirds
Fleetwood Mac - Black Magic Woman

Kick-ass playlist right there.  That was an awesome progression.  Thanks!

This extraordinary ways song is pretty good. I'd never heard of them before.  It's going on my list.

Quoth the Mandible. {#Lol} Her voice is deliciously unmistakable.

Love her voice.  The groove on this tune reminds me of the song "905" by The Who off Who Are You.

POE

Not bad, but the more Conjure One I hear on RP, the more I think you could fade one song into any other and no-one would notice...

I like it.  Maybe they're on to something.  Hopefully people will learn from this song.  The lyrics are good, and it seems to be the current musical theme.

That singer would be Poe.

Anything with Poe is awesome in my eyes (and my ears).

There's a fantastic remix of this song by Antillas that picks up the pace of the song, while adding some real intensity to it. Also adds about 3 minutes to it, which is an extra bonus.

Here she is:  https://www.basiasongs.com/ - new album out, new tour, too.
The lyrics are wonderful.  Very nice song.

So it's Poe singing? I thought the voice was familiar. 8 from the Nottingham jury.

Reminds me of Basia. Anyone know what happened to her?

Gotta be POE singing on this track. No a huge fan of this—but her solo material is amaaazing,
