What is this that I can't see
Cold as ice hands all over me
Stress my eyes and stretch my limbs
This is the way that death begins

Ooh, death, have mercy
Ooh, death, be easy
Ooh, death, just spare me over another year
another year...

Ooh, death, have mercy
Ooh, death, have mercy
Ooh, death, just spare me over another year

If you were a flower
What make death come
Cut you down so soon

If you were a flower
What make death come
Cut you down so soon

Ooh, death, have mercy
Ooh, death, be easy
Ooh, death, just spare me over another year

What is this that I can't see
Cold as ice hands all over me
Stress my eyes and stretch my limbs
This is the way that death begins

Ooh, death, have mercy
Ooh, death, be easy
Ooh, death, just spare me over another year

Ooh, death, have mercy
Aah, death, be easy
Ooh, death, just spare me over another year

Very nice...
If there was a Sanford & Son musical on Broadway, this would be Fred singing while having "the big one".
Seems the written lyrics aren’t quite right.
Tangerine to Death Have Mercy. Brilliant segue. Almost too rich. Almost. Always riding that line. The Master. Love Live RadioParadise.

Weird....I know almost zero German, though a lot of it seems similar to English, so when I let Google tell me what you said I wasn't terribly surprised it was almost exactly what I thought....and Greetings to you too, Petra!!  Long Live RP!!  (is that Lang Lebe RP...)

Hello to radio paradise, Here's a big compliment for your super nice and wonderful music selection !! Greetings also to all enthusiastic listeners! Petra B-Z from the Wetterau, Hesse, Germany

I accidentally downvoted while attempting to translate. Welcome from Deutschland.
Why do I think I remember Hazel Dickens doing this one?
I was waiting for a raga, and then I hear this blues.  But the East Indian tones keep creeping back in.  And the lyrics, well, that's pretty much what it's all about.

Wait, this isn't Dire Straits?

A great guitar sound, certainly. Knopfler is unique

Every time I hear Harry Manx, I long to be back on Salt Spring Island.

I like him. Nice vibe, nice tone on this one, and anybody who does such a strong version of 'bring that thang back home' can't be all bad. :-)

Harry's got a unique sound, no doubt, but he's a bit one-trick pony. Best in short doses.

Yah, that's why I'm here. Nice piece; till next time.
Enough already with the Harry Manx. Every time I hear him my rating goes down by one point. Boring.

Yikes!

If you can work it, work it.

Is it just me but the (beautiful) lead guitar and the backing are just a tad out of tune with each other?
Sorry. As any bluesman will tell you, Death Don't Have No Mercy. Nice try though.
Stopped me in my tracks.
Perfect song for New Year's Day.
Why Bill...thanky kindly....

"Ooh, death, just spare me over another year..."

How'd you know today is my b-day?  Another year older but still have all my marbles (I think).  Also most of my teeth.  And I still have my health so what more could I ask?  Spare me over another year indeed.  {#Cheers}

Way too much Harry Manx on RP. His songs all sound the same.

By that, you mean they all sound great, correct? Just saw the man live with a string quartet, it was transcendental.

Like. Very Knopfler-like.
