I know there's nothing to say
Someone has taken my place
When times go bad
When times go rough
Won't you lay me down in tall grass
And let me do my stuff

I know I got nothin' on you
I know there's nothing to do
When times go bad
And you can't get enough
Won't you lay me down in the tall grass
And let me do my stuff

One thing I think you should know
I ain't gonna miss you when you go
Been down so long
I've been tossed around enough
Couldn't you just
Let me go down and do my stuff

I know you're hopin' to find
Someone who's gonna give you peace of mind
When times go bad
When times go rough
Won't you lay me down in tall grass
And let me do my stuff

I'm just second hand news
I'm just second hand news

Lindsey Buckingham was the resident mad genius of this iteration of FM.  He is sorely missed.

All due respect to Neil Finn and Mike Campbell.  Both are exceptional to a fault.
Good Tune!

I mean really RP listeners, I know it’s a pop classic, but does that warrant a 7.7. Groundbreaking stuff here, folks. Easy 9.

Agree. A fantastically written and performed and produced tune. Very much fun to hear, and to imagine the Buckingham/Nicks dynamic when they had to perform it together each night....
I've never heard this played anywhere else.  Thanks RP.
Yes I'm quite familiar with Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (now) but as a kid my best friend had this album and we played it constantly. There isn't a bad track on it.
The genius of Fleetwood Mac was to create original music that was an instant cliche. Strictly commercial!
