I know I let you down the last time.
You said then there'd be no next time.
One more chance is all I'm asking.
Is it so hard to be forgiven?

If only I could make you see
How much your love could mean to me.
This time..
This time..

Cause I know the world can turn against you.
But this time I'm gonna be there for you.

I know I said I'd change the last time.
But it won't be the same this time.

If only I could make you see,
How much your love is changing me.
If only we could start again.
This time.
This time.

If only I could make you see.
What one more chance could mean to me.
If only we could start again.
This time.

This time..
This time..
This time.

I know it's gotta work out this time.

Why does Bill have such a man crush on this guy? He is basically a one trick pony.

If you have a problem with him, hit the "skip button". ...problem solved!  ...and spare us from your drivel!  A LOT of RP listeners really like him.  Thanx RP!  EXCELLENT TUNE!

You need to get out more, amigo....
That override on the background guitar is just
Very entertaining performer. Great voice, instantly recognizable. This isn't one of his best tunes IMHO.

no, because he writes about his experiences.

he tours every summer.

Hello RP-Listeners!

I wish all of you "MERRY CHRISTMAS",
wherever you are - whoever you wanna be!

Christmas is a sweet-naive tradition -
not a religious event!

I like it anyway!

Still - I hope Bill takes the chance
to rock the christmas-tree to pieces tonight!

"Happy Christmas
your "BAD SANTA",
aka STINGRAY
-from Cologne/Germany-
PS
Sermon of the day (promise: I'm serious):

The "Three Wise Men" - Melchior, Balthasar + Caspar
are buried in a golden sarcophage in"our" dome, the famous
"Cologne dome" - the third highest church-building
in the world - right in the very centre of town, next to the Rhine.
A gothic building of extra-class!

Dude !!! Hard to believe you even manage to listen to music considering you're litterally earing-impaired !!!

Oh, I dunno - I can hear the quirky vocals that signify a David Byrne song. Shimmer - I guess we're in the same boat. Hope you can swim. I can row. {#Lol}

And iggy33, you are spelling and punctuation-challenged (which is really scary, considering you list your occupation as "journalist.") And the fact that you called someone you don't even know "Dude" tells me you're probably not even old enough to run for office.  That's okay.  Just, please - don't vote. Or drive. Or do anything that might have serious repercussions on the rest of humanity. At least, not until you learn to spell, punctuate, and not call people "dude."

I've sure sung this song a few times.

Not that it matters... (So how can it be important?)

Naahh... Chris ain't gay. He's an "old school player", who reportedly has a predilection for Asian chicks. (who doesn't?){#Hearteyes}

Besides, what in the Hell has that got to do with enjoying the man's work? I just don't get that mindset. Gladly. {#Hand}

I think the really important question about him is . . . Is he gay?

I\'m ready for new music from Mr. Isaak and band. I wonder if the darth of CD sales in general keeps him from releasing a new CD? If you have a chance to see him perform live, do. He\'s a showman. True stagecraft.

He does a good live show. The thing I can't figure out is how a guy this good looking could feel so miserable to write such sad songs.
Sitting at one of his concerts I stated to my wife (of the time) and those around us that my theory is that Chris Isaak has never had any girlfriends, just ex-girlfriends. At least that is the impression one gets.

Sooo many better CI songs out there!

A rich, warm voice, especially when he uses a lower range, like in this song. Apart from the vocals, the song sounds like an old Manfred Mann song, Pretty Flamingo.
