Ok Neal, since this is such a great song, I'm going to forgive you for that dumb ass comment about Joe Rogan.
Reminds me of "Captain Jack" by Billy Joel, though that is a far superior song.

bronorb, I totally agree with your disagreement. NY is a virtually a music institution. As far as I'm concerned, he can make music to his death bed and he'll surpass many of his contemporaries by sheer mystique and poetry. Not to mention that he can play the f out of that guitar.
This song may be in the first half of his arc, but it's timeless. If it's built to last, it's still current. No one has stopped listening to early Crosby, Stills and Nash (and Young) because some later tunes seemed to lack the early verve. And for a musician to write music like this, and then push for this

Love Neil. A Titan. 46 years past Buffalo Springfield and still going. One in a million. This is proof that a lot of his best song writing is not guitar-heavy cuts like Rockin' in the Free World or Throw Your Hatred Down, but sweet love poems like this. As for his voice, I think he's done more with it than he was gifted with. Turned less into more. One thing for sure: you can recognize that voice and guitar at once, anywhere, anytime.

A huge talent who my wife and I had the privilege to hear live last year. I've been a fan for 35 years but have almost been taking his talent for granted. This song is a reminder of his greatness.

Pretty song. A bit of "American Dream" in the chorus (reporters crowd around your house, going through your garbage like a pack of hounds ...) but I like it.
My daily neil fix has been fulfilled...by David Bowie and by Neil Young.

We are all different - we are all the same. i appreciate commentary and insight regarding music, but gotta admit when i see "i hate (insert whomever here)" i am downright flabbergasted.

I'd have to rate Neil Young as my least favorite singer, but I did up my rating on this one from the last time I heard it.
In a weird way NY is the most talented singer; these songs aren't Neil Young if it ain't he singing.

Great song from a decent Neil album. He did a great version of this on SNL.

I\'m not a big Neil fan, but this song is wonderful. Beautiful and poignant. 
I rated this a ten. I went to my first concert in 91/92 and this song live was amazing. To see an arena of people singing this and waving their hands in the air was quite a moving experinence for a 15 year old.
I still believe in the message.
