Misdirection, excellent. Ignorance and racism are convenient labels to slap on people you can't engage in honest discussion. Entirely untrue when applied to the group you slur, but it does take the focus off of the issues. Is it possible people are expressing displeasure by constitutionally protected means in the best spirit of the country? This is, I can say without a doubt, the only major song by Tom Petty that I care for. Good production, innovative use of orchestral and Indian instrumentation. Slow, but driving incessantly towards the drum kit breakaway at the end. Very nice.

You want me to say it? FINE. I'll say it. This song doesn't suck. In fact, it's the anti-suck. This song is gorgeous and perfect. But Petty is still in the red in my books. His greatest hits are starting to drain my soul. I saw someone else mention that his album cuts might be worth listening to. Is this true?
