Well, there she sits buddy justa gleaming in the sun
There to greet a working man when his day is done
I'm gonna pack my pa and I'm gonna pack my aunt
I'm gonna take them down to the Cadillac Ranch

Eldorado fins, whitewalls and skirts
Rides just like a little bit of heaven here on earth
Well buddy when I die throw my body in the back
And drive me to the junkyard in my Cadillac

Cadillac, Cadillac
Long and dark, shiny and black
Open up your engines let 'em roar
Tearing up the highway like a big old dinosaur

James Dean in that Mercury '49
Junior Johnson runnin' thru the woods of Caroline
Even Burt Reynolds in that black Trans-Am
All gonna meet down at the Cadillac Ranch

Cadillac, Cadillac
Long and dark, shiny and black
Open up them engines let 'em roar
Tearing up the highway like a big old dinosaur

Hey, little girlie in the blue jeans so tight
Drivin' alone through the Wisconsin night
You're my last love baby you're my last chance
Don't let 'em take me to the Cadillac Ranch

Cadillac, Cadillac
Long and dark, shiny and black
Pulled up to my house today
Came and took my little girl away

suck! Please do not play Bruce Springsteen. He is a total cheezer and pretty much blows.
oh yea....great morning fun! gets the juices flowing!
Oof! I saw this coming. Ugh. Not as bad as "Pink Cadillac" but hard to take nonetheless. Bruce has some toons that are inspired, and then has some that are hard to even call sophomoric.
Bruce puts on one of the best live shows ever. But I have never bought a single one of his albums. His music doesn't work for me as a recording. No idea why.
I may only give this a 5, but its still by FAR the best tune of this Caddy set. I knew there was a reason I was never interested in driving a Cadillac. Ugh.
this caddy theme is fun... lincoln guy myself... (if I had to drive a yank tank... been a while since I heard this - great rocker! Thanks RP.

Bruce Springsteen is really annoying. Before Ben Stiller was famous he had a hilarious tv show (The Ben Stiller Show), and they did a series of sketches mocking Bruce Springsteen which were brilliant.
Stiller does an amazing and hillarious Bruce Springsteen. But he is very clearly a fan and not "mocking" him. At most he is mocking the stereotypical image people have of Springsteen. I think you are imposing your own views upon others. The statement, "I think Bruce Springsteen is really annoying," is perfectly valid. The statement, "Bruce Springsteen is really annoying," is objectively false. If you can't feel the joy of rock 'n' roll in this tune, you are very much missing out. TJ

I agree somewhat. I never understood the frothing at the mouth many Springsteen fans went into when they described his music. I respect the guy, but just never totally jumped on board. He's an icon here in Cleveland and this LP brings back some not so good musical memories during 10th grade because it's all you heard on the radio!

then Hot Rod Lincoln.
Bruce-haters be damned; this song always puts a smile on my face! Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!

Aretha's Pink Cadillac has to follow.
I only wish we had a live version on the playlist but the album version will do!
