Out from, out from the paper bag
Into the safe and warm again
Long time since I have felt the sun,
Since I went singing in the rain
Autumn, it is my interview,
It`s when I ask just how things are
Changing, the colours of today.
Like you and I have changed for sure

CHORUS:
I've missed the way you smile
Your tales of fame and fortune
Walk a minute and we'll walk a mile
We can really tell the future
One look shows a hundred words, rather you to see
Than me to show the charms I still hold dear
And all the things that hold me to you

Now that I hold you in my arms
It strangely feels like nothing's changed
Found some, I found some love today
More than I thought could be allowed.

I don't know if you can ever play good music enough to get sick of it. Equation has no equal. BTW I am originally for Champaign. Champaign used be a kind of Music Mecca, with the live music scene being one of the best and the choice of listening as varied as anywhere. Now, when I visit, it doesn't matter which radio station I tune in, it all sounds like the same generic drivel I get here in L.A. Thank God for RP and others of its kind! I would die in the music wastelands of broadcast radio. :D

because it has no equal. It has many equivalents. Sure you if you want to split hairs I am sure you can argue but that is irrelevant action. This is not a surprising band at all. It is just what they do without equal, but equivalence exists.
Ahh, makes my Chakras feel good.

Definitely similar sound.
Easy listening after a day of grieving the loss of a friend who passed on Easter. RIP Jeff
Rarely do I turn off RP - but this song did it for me today. That and anytime I hear John Fogerty...

Heard it again, came to comment again, I already did.

Ha! So did I after listening to this track I think. And I too still play it from time to time.

Glad to meet another LONG time RP listener :)

Just HORRIBLE....

More boring 1/2 country blather.....

Tell me about it!  I thought I was the only one suffering from corns on my feet until you chimed in and, oh, sorry, I thought we were talking about a foot condition
nice brushes
this sounds like Wilson Phillips.

This album cover art reminds me of Tom Tom Club meets Talking Heads on a kids show in the late 70s. I dunno it just does. I like the tune. I also kinda like the cover art too...thanks RP for continuing to peak my interest.

not to be a word-nazi but so others aren't misled - the word is "pique". i admit it looks kinda bourgeois but what you wrote means something very different

Actually, the album is great. I never really liked The Corrs, but this Equation album is wonderful. Much stronger than what I know by The Corrs.
Love Kathryn Roberts voice anywhere, anytime.

No thank you.
I like the cover art though.
Cool! Love that string line!
Yikes! the Corrs are back!
This song stirs me!  Great instrumentals, nice harmonies!
Meh
I'd get up and dance for this.
Sweet!  Stingray you drew out the Big Guns.  Others may expect you to be the knowlegeable on EUROPE.

THANK YOU, Bill. I sorta love this band... And that you responded to our resident troll only makes it more special...

eeeww...not in my opinion....more along the lines of the late Sandy Denny!

This is thoughtful and sweet.

Nice song — especially like the beautiful violins at the end.
Love the album art. Charming
Get a clue.

The fiddle raises my rating significantly. The rest of it is classic ho hum.
Die fiddle, die.

Why have I not heard of these before? Have them washed and sent to my room!
a little too bubblegum for me after "Let Go"...kind of wound up, IMO. I don't know. Just seemed like an odd transition. Not doing too much for me, but not terrible.

Yuk! Oh well, cool to look back to 2002 and see my old post. It seems like a different life. The song evokes the passage of time, too; neat package deal.
no matter how many times i hear this song, i still have no opinion about it whatsoever...
I like that in a 7 or 8 sort of way until the closing minute or so then it drops a few points.
I've never heard anything by this band before but I really like this. Perhaps someone could upload some more tunes?

Sounds like The Corrs (aka "The Celtic Wilson-Phillips"), be that good or bad in yer particular book!

ugh - we really are in easy listening mode at the moment aren't we? The last few tracks have been like having someone throw cotton wool balls at you - harmless but intensely irritating... Crank it up a bit billy-boy!!!!!! It's all sooooooo FM ray-dee-ohhh - AOR/BOF/Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Not bad, but I prefer the Fiona Apple song of the same name.
Equation is centered by Cara Dillon, who has one of the most stunning voices going today.. Her solo stuff is mainly her and a piano, much more impressive I think than the glossy Equation shtuff.
better than average. nothing earth-shattering, but i wouldn\'t turn the channel if it cam on the radio.
I bought the CD, too, thanks to Radio Paradise. I already had some Kate Rusby CDs and now I see she was once in Equation, too.
nice song, but really dumb band name - \"Equation\" just doesn\'t evoke any response in me other than a memory of high school and university Math classes .... blech !
I\'m going to by the album as well, thanks to RP.
Yep - a great song, great band - I bought it as well, one of many from Amazon I've picked up thru RP. I've got everyone at work listening also....
how is everyone from champaign? :) I'm here now, and yea, I gotta tune to the paradise. U of I baby! This song is great - good original sound
Add me to the list of listeners who first heard this band on RP and bought this CD as a result. And not the first CD that I\'ve bought because of RP.

whoever would call their band \"equation\", I can\'t get over that... Is it like equation in the political sense or in the mathematical sense or what??
this was the first song i heard when i tuned in RP over a year ago. so its kinda special to me, ya know?
i thought i had already commented on this song but it isn\'t here so...this is an excellent tune by a group I first heard here on radioparadise. tnx bill.
I call this the song with the crazy violin. It\'s cool!
Mark me down with Kristen thinking this sounds a lot like Grey Eyed Glances. Which is, in my book at least, a compliment. Looking into the band, I see that Kate Rusby is involved, and I'm very fond of her. I hope they continue to add new fans and grow.
Ehh - it\'s ok. Not amazing, but it\'s just ok.
I like this, they sound kinda like Fairport Convention. :)
