This sounds so much better than any U2 song I have heard so far.
The cranked, plaintive, raw guitar and vocals on this always seem to catch my ear. Now , as usual, a nice, tender U2 touchstone for a time of great upheavals and change...

I like (love) this band, till their early 90s work. But this one is really terrible...
Their last great album. IMHO.

When I lived in Dublin I was surprised by this too. We could express theories about why, but it's rather intangible. The Dubliners themselves can't explain it, really. I've asked a lot of friends and colleagues this question. However, I will say that seeing U2 in the 3 Arena a few years ago was an emotional experience, for the Irish crowd absolutely loved the band and gave the concert an electric atmosphere I've seldom felt in a concert. 
Great Pop album. An easy listen in a good way.
I'm prone to PSD'ing U2, never was a great fan.  This is damn nice though.  Thanks Bill and Rebecca for constantly broadening my musical horizons.

Bona-fide Nero... nice.
I believe this was the last song Joey Ramone listened to before he died. I think Bill is aware of this because he played Joey Ramone's "Wonderful World" right before this. Nice!

I know a lot of people can't separate the artist from the art, but U2 is a great band and has put out a lot of quality music.... and Bono (bono vox) is a great singer! Deal with it....
Nice. Gotta turn this one up and enjoy the groove.

This was a very underrated album for me, but upon revisiting it there are a few very strong songs that I really like now...this tune is borderline among the best on the album.  Can do without it...
Not the best but it's not awful.
The h8 is swelling in you now.  Good! Use your aggressive feelings. Let the h8 flow through you!

I concur. I bought this album, and this is about the only track I ever really enjoy listening to. Well, Beautiful Day once in a while, too. But I really like the way this one flows.

Bill, I enjoy your sequencing of songs. Social Distortion covering Johnny Cash, then Cash covering U2, then U2 themselves. Likewise, a song by the Rolling Stones, followed by Dylan singing 'Like A Rolling Stone.' Clever.
