this song has that soundtrack appeal...
nice arrangement overall....
a bit too elevator/restaurant loungish though....
Not one of Fleck's more exciting tunes, but it's still likeable.
Sort of sounds like it could be the soundtrack for some quirky indie-movie or something...
Not much Futureman coming through on this. Very laid back.
It took forever for me to realize that Victor is Futureman's brother, and that Victor, (and ostensibly Futureman, too.) grew up near Carter Beauford...

I'd have to concur. Bela is absolutely amazing, but this tune just doesn't quite get off the ground for me.
I also second the motion from the earlier post regarding Bela's bass player (whose name escapes me right now). In fact, I was first turned on to Bela and the Flecktones by a well-respected bass player friend of mine. "Check out this absolutely amazing bass player", he said, "and the banjo guy is pretty good, too." :)

How can you bored? BELA is the MAN
Sweet! Steel drums and clarinet in the coolest melody and rhythm. This is one of the best on RP ;)
I love Bela, he has been a true revolutionary artist, and always manages to bring great musicians together for great jam sessions.
bela is one of the most talented musicians out there, IMHO. I saw him (w/Flectones) at Harper\'s Ferry in boston and it was great. The bassist gets little recognition, but he has a ton of talent when given the opportunity to show off.
this isn\'t my favorite of their songs, but it\'s a good one.

That is why we come here!
