Once again she steals away
Then she reaches out to kiss me
And how she takes my breath away
Pretending that she won't miss me

Oohh I would bleed to love her
Bleed to love her
Oohh I would bleed to love her

And once again she calls to me
Then she vanishes in thin air
And how she takes my breath away
Pretending that she's not there

Oohh I would bleed to love her
Bleed to love her
Oohh I would bleed to love her

Somebody's got to see this through
All the world is laughing at you
Somebody's got to sacrifice
If this whole thing's going to turn out right

Oohh I would bleed to love her
Bleed to love her
Oohh I would bleed to love her

Getting better and better with time

Man, the original blues band was soooo much better !!!!

Nothing tops their early years for me too.
Au revoir Christine. Bonne route. Ta voix chaude et sensuelle restera longtemps dans nos tĂȘtes.
Gee, isn't this the guy who "ruined" Fleetwood Mac?
. . . not.

I never have thought of that comparison,  you are correct - Roy Forbes - Bim  lol

Lindsey Buckingham is a musical genius. Took two A list artists to replace him and as good as they both are they don't measure up. He set the bar too high.
Love to see him come back to FM.

Is this really Lindsey on vocals?  It's...ummm...underwhelming?
Hearing this played right after The Shins reminded me of how much James Mercer looks like John McVie.
Whoa, new to me, and really enjoying it!  Maybe one of their best in my ears.
Of course I have many Fleetwood favorites but this never fails to be at the top of the list. Thanks RP
A Fleetwood track that has escaped my neurone database! Pleasant, recognisably (later) Fleetwood Mac...
To me, easy listening with no particular vibration.

Been saying and correcting people on this for year's. To the point I play a track by Christie McVie and the friends I'm with swear blind it's Stevie!!! They are soon converted once I explain

Well, my RP friend, you need to "Explore the Space" with FM.  The early days with Green/Kirwan were every bit as good musically.    Lindsay was a force, no doubt.

Turn it up

favorite Fleetwood song. great in just about every way.
Great feel to this one. Only really started getting into Fleetwood Mac in the past couple of years, thanks to RP!

You are conflating contributions to Fleetwood Mac with solo achievement.  Christine is in the R&R HOF for her contributions in FM (as is Stevie).  I'm not a huge fan of any FM / solo material, but Stevie is the only one with a HOF worthy solo career.

Next time....Christine should be dating Jimmy Iovine when she does her solo album, so her boyfriend can steal a song from Tom Petty (Stop dragging my heart around).

I'm not normally particularly into Fleetwood Mac - but this track has a timeless quality. I really like it. It is the kind of track I imagine listening to while I watch the landscape slip by through a train window. It has that poignancy of unrequited love, the tang of the bittersweet.

You might not want to say that John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, the only two members there since the beginning. Lindsey joined in the mid 70s, after a few other great musicians had also been part of it. They're worth learning about.

Fleetwood's autobiography is a nice light interesting read, as well.

Agree.  They were great in concert.

Fleetwood Mac went through many incarnations and varying levels of success before Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined the band in late 1974. Lindsey and Stevie brought their distinct singing harmony as well as song writing experience plus Buckingham’s music and recording studio talents from their experience as the duo, Buckingham Nicks. Listen to their album from 1973 and you’ll hear the familiar sounds of Fleetwood Mac that most people identify with today.

The vocal harmonies between the Nicks/Buckingham and Christine McVie worked well and along with Christine’s classically trained music talents, these three formed the “sound” and lyrical foundation of the Fleetwood Mac that has sold over 100 million records.

Listen to any Fleetwood Mac album before 1974 and you will not hear the same music or style that most people identify with Fleetwood Mac today.

I once owned this album (who didn't?)   But I swear I don't remember this at all. Thank you RP.

Whilst I would agree with the second part of your sentence, the first part is plain wrong.

LB always went his own way, before, during and after his time with FM, and FM have always been a whole lot more than any individual band member, even in the early 'Green God' days. They, and others such as Christine, Danny, Stevie, and Bob (Welch), are constellations whose separate paths through the musical universe intersected for a while and shone extra brightly. And yes, there were a few stellar collisions!
Good tune, though by and large, I don't like hearing about bleeding in songs.

I love this song so much. Despite myself. <3
This album cover is an homage to the mid-seventies Rumours album cover.

I love it. A cover that is carefully produced and had obviously been given a lot of time and thought to create. A bit of humour, pathos, personality, art, composition. . . what's not to like?
I totally concur.  Nothing better than this: https://youtu.be/mZZp76M4NGc

simply embarrassing - they´d better stopped making music when their time was over. instead, they are hurting their reputation with musical zero-point-zero´s like this one ...
Now for sum Jefferson Airplane - eh!

2nd FM tune in a couple of hours.  Not complaining just struck me as odd.

It is pretty silly; I guess they were just trying to have fun and re-live the old days, but without the dump-trucks full of cocaine.

Yes Lindsey.

Interesting, but the bleeding still bothers me.  That said, it's a fine song, and Lindsey rules.

Yeah!  I can't stop watching his version of 'Big Love' from this album.  I still can't figure out how he does that, and sings...

these khats still give me chills. If that's not an 8 then its a 9
This song should have been all over commercial radio and I did not hear it, not once, until RP.  Radio is Dead.  Long live Radio Paradise.
He is such a great songwriter, I more ofter than not could care less what the heck he is singing about- I just sing along

Surprise, surprise.

Didn't expect to hear or certainly like anything these guys might conjure up. Five seconds into this song, it had me. Lindsey Buck has one of those voices...ya know, just one of those voices that works for many.

Whoopsy...it's 12 years old.

Yet more proof that Lindsey was the brains in the later versions of the band - yet all the attention was on the hippie chick with the gypsy fetish and the druggies/alkies.

I was delivering an ad proof to a local radio station a few years ago and he was in the studio doing an appearance in conjunction with a local concert. He played this song, and he played his heart out. I watched over the monitor and thought "what a shame, here is this guy with massive talent, playing a wonderful composition for a couple of jerk DJs on morning drive time."

Really is no justice in the universe.
Lindsey . . . wow.  What a talent.  I love his solo stuff.  So gritty, reckless, risky.  Big thumbs-up.  I had never heard this before.  Thanks, Bill.

If you have DirecTV and get HD programming, HDNET is showing a live show of Lindsay this month. It is truely awesome, he can really play a guitar and write great music. He was why Fleetwood Mac was any good, though I didn't know it at the time. IMO
Lindsey - text me!

If there is anything negative to say for this album/video/performance I have no idea what it could possibly be. Absolutely stupendous!

Not my music... It's a '3' for me.
Love it, simply love it...
Not my favorite FM song...but i am a loyal fan and even need just a little to satiate a sudden Mac Attack.
Tis the time to bless Radioparadise.
I just love this song!
Ahhh one of my favorites of theirs. Thanks Bill & Rebecca!
I always avoided Fleetwood Mac as a younger man. Their music was so mainstream, chicks dug it, it wasn't manly. Thousand excuses. Well, I guess I missed out because an older (much older) adult, their music is very solid, and I find it great to listen to. I even pulled my wife's vinyl copies and listen to it on the ole phonograph. Solid 8. Oh, and Micheal Stipe's voice isn't what sucks about the "Me in Honey" song. Its the whole song, the whole abum, especially the B52s singer. This album was really a big aberretion to R.E.M. music career. Everything before and after was great. This album really sucks.
Always love Lindsey's fingerpicking style.

FM has a very "big" sound to me. Orchestral almost. Wall of sound, in a Broadway, hands in the air, matching costumes, sort of way.

Buckingham is sublime. And anything that obscures Stevie Nicks is even better. She was the weakest FM member, IMHO.

great memories...luv it!!
I really like this song - I think it's a sweet tune.
Ok, I've loved Fleetwood Mac for decades, but I have to say, if this were the first thing I ever heard by them, I'd never have heard any of the rest. I gave this a 2, and I may have been being charitable. (p.s. the fact that this track was followed by REM just adds insult to injury. The Dance was a great concert too. Go watch the DVD. Buckingham plays some awesome guitars on Big Love.
Seeing them live gave me a whole new appreciation for their skills, especially Lindsey. This tune has a real nice feel. (BTW - I've been listening to FM since the late 60's and I like all incarnations.)
