I am ecstatic to hear this song. It's been a while. Bill, you really do play the best that Canadian music has to offer. Stuff Canadian stations won't play. Loreena McKennet, Neil Young, Bare Naked Ladies, Leonard Cohen, the Tragically Hip and on and on and on. Yay! I'm so glad I found RP. And now the Banshees? Unbelievable. I have this CD. That's hilarious! I think she's got an outstanding voice, but she's got a lot of material that's better than this. It's not bad, but it's not up there with her best stuff. My favorite is a song called "Full Moon Full of Love".

Comment about the personnel: the co-writer and producer is Ben Mink, formerly of the Canadian experimental band FM (where he played electric violin and mandolin, taking Nash the Slash's place for two albums). I also believe he played violin and guitar on the studio version of "Constant Craving". He also is an integral part of Geddy Lee's solo CD, My Favorite Headache, co-producing, co-writing, and playing guitar, violin, viola, and synths. Raven

I find it hard to admit that I really like this song now. Back when this song was released, I was still in high school, and working on my parents farm. Working in a tractor for many hours a day with only an AM radio leaves you few choices (especially since I had yet to discover CBC), and often found myself listening to one of the local country music stations. Of course they played the crap out of this song when it came out. Combine the overplaying of the song with the strident sound of her voice coming over really bad speakers, and I grew to detest the song. Now, admittedly, I think it is beautiful! I guess that\'s progress.
