nobody really knows where they're supposed to go
hiding behind a wall
afraid that they'll lose it all
but it's alright
just follow the light
and don't be afraid of the dark
in the moonlight you'll dance til you fall
and always be here in my heart
but nobody wants to know
cos nobody even cares
everyone's on the make
yeah and everyone's out for themselves
me i'm on the longest road
where everything's overload
but i've got my heart and soul
so don't throw me overboard
cos it's alright
just follow the light
and don't be afraid of the dark
in the moonlight
you'll dance til you fall and always be here in my heart
cos it's alright
just follow the light
and don't be afraid of the dark
in the moonlight
you'll dance til you fall
and always be here in my heart
cos it's alright alright now
and you're alright
yeah we're alright now

Drab and pointless.

I was thinkin' "Keane".
Och, 'groos, mon!
Sounds perfect from here :p

Because they're from Scotland. Note: understanding Scottish cabbies is pretty difficult too.

Loved the early bit.....but the latter is...eh.
I hate that I like this perky little diddy but sometimes when the clock seems to be stuck at work, that's what you need

I heard that, too.

I uploaded "Comin' Around" by these guys. I think it is one cool song... better than this one, and I like this one. Rebecca didn't like it though... it was rejected.
I find Travis to be so... so... well... average and bland.
I've been rocking out in the shower to this disc for the past few weeks (is that too much info?). Love this song... don't think there are many better.

Makes me want to have a sandwich. Roast beef, a little horseradish. I have no idea why.
I bought this album (OK, CD) on the recommendation of a friend. I had never heard of Travis but I trusted my friend's judgement. After one listen, I was hooked. Perfect road-trip CD.
Hooray! Old Travis does nothing but make me happy :goodvibes.gif: (New Travis does nothing but make me want to listen to Coldplay, as much as I hate to admit it :( )
Me likee. I think I've become a sucker for a whole group of UK bands within a certain genre: Travis, Coldplay, Starsailor... :nodhead:
That's so funny!! I did too...hah. We definitely don't hear enough of this band. Haven't heard much since "sing"...

First heard this song last year, right after the Sept. 11 attacks. It sort of became a theme song during those uncertain days that followed. What would happen next? Were there more attacks to come? Yeah, that song really helped get through that period. Gave me hope. \"Its alright. Just follow the light and don\'t be afraid of the dark (the unknown).\"
Undoubtedly influenced by Radiohead, but at the same time not sounding like them. What\'s wrong with this? It seems that several people want them to be more like current Radiohead, or to not be at all. This is Radiohead without all the gloom. Fluffy not in the sense of lacking substance--Travis has a great deal of substance--but in the sense of bringing you up instead of bringing you down. Like REM on their latest album (altough that, even to me, might go a little too far in the realm of \"fluff.\").
My favorite of all the songs on this album. Grows on me more and more each time I hear it. Just follow the light and don\'t be afraid of the dark.
mmmmmmmmmm... Fluff. :)
Peppy fluff
I think you can't compare them with Radiohead cause Travis, like for instance Ocean Colour Scene, is much more 'rootsy' and not in music for being renewing, which for a lot of people seems to be the most important argument to whether or not approve of a band.

Ha! EXACTLY :)
Beautiful guitarline. Beautiful melody anyhow! One of the best songs by newer bands I\'ve heard so far on RP.

Agreed. Great live band too. I think we'll be hearing these guys for a long time.
