This gravity
Is feeling like a tether
I want to want to be
So high above the weather
All frequency around
Round, round, round, round
Without a sound
And there's today
And there's two spaces
And too many places
Not to go to, ooh
This big old sea
Is feeling like a pleasure
I look cautiously
At all the falling treasure
With some frequency it comes down
Down, down, down, down
Without a sound
And there's today
And there's two spaces
And too many places
Not to go to, ooh
Is feeling like a tether
I want to want to be
So high above the weather
All frequency around
Round, round, round, round
Without a sound

A very clever, talented guy.

I don't always listen at 320 AAC, but when I do,
So do my neighbours.

Love him . His voice. His energy. His style
Pixies => B-52's => Frank Black

Nice, haven't heard this in awhile. Frank definitely deserves more playtime.

HA! I was about to whine too. Brilliant! Still, 2 or 3. I'll listen to the whole song before deciding.

I'd thought the original source of the whole "Frank is a fake" thing was Henry Rollins. But then I read recently that he actually loved The Pixies.
Anyone know the deal? (no pun intended :)

Not my kind of song.
At all.
At all.

Some people need to be reminded periodically of a few things: Al Gore is not president; Frank Black is not a musical genius.
Playing Frank Black and then the Talking Heads further proves my point. Frank is a fake, the Heads are the real thing. . . .
That's just because he's local to you and you hear about him a lot.

interesting, that's just the 2 songs that were played together today. i guess he can't reinvent the wheel every single day. and that was february 2006, so i guess playing the same combo a year and half later is ok. :)

Is that possible, to remind someone of an opinion?

Ah... but which retard has gotten more people killed?
Let this be a reminder...
Vote non-violent retards only!
too obvious
this is 10

Yes. I do. So can you.
Don't forget his other incarnations too: Black Francis, etc.

Hmmm... Sorry but Charles is a genius. My opinion; yours may vary. The fact that the Bush retard is president instead of some other retard has nothing to do with it.
Frank and the Heads are both worthy of your respect; I don't really care if you care.
my first thought was The Police...
Ay, Frances, Frances, we lurve ye so...

But what about Los Angeles - and the new Burn today - I do see the suck in a lot of his tunes but he does have some gems too.
Sounds a bit more B52-ish to me.
Lewis Black is better...hehehe
Funny, as this song started I thought it was going to be Elvis Costello. Then, oh yeah, Frank. I do love Frank, but other songs better.
Man of Steel playin' on LRC at the same time, this is indeed a Magical Mystery Tour de Force, all credit to Rebecca and Bill for a wonderfull 24/7/365 show!
Love Frank. Saw him a few years ago and it was probably my fave live show ever -- or right up there.
But this particular selection is one of his quirkier numbers.

Cool, Heads are up next! Great set.

ouch. quite the jarring segue there.
let's not do that again.
They did it again! Are they just replaying a previous show?
Frank Black needs Kim Deal in order to make sense.
LUV Mr. Black...but hey he HASN'T influenced any one has he?

No, you can't. You have to listen to all his diversified stuff here on wonderful RP and then all the great Pixies music, and then . . . and only then, can you "sucko-barfo" everything by Mr. Black.
Hey, you asked!

Well, now we know we should keep Danny Elfman away from Difford and Tilbrook... This was an annoying little tune.

Sounds like a Police song--only in fast reverse *cringe*
Too distracting for work.
Charles Thompson?
I never bought his solo stuff. I guess it annoyed me that he changed his stage name so much. Kinda like Puff Daddy/P-Diddy nonsense. Frank Black, Black Francis, etc. No thanks.
Never heard of this guy and it was a good thing I think. This is trerrible, imho

Oh, the song of the day. Thank you for playing this. Any song off of this album is worth playing over and over.

Ah yes, but it is Black Francis...
Some Frank Black stuff I love...some I can't stand. This is a good one.
Sounds like Oingo Boingo meets Squeeze.
YES YES YES!
Great - impossible to keep still to this one. Sounds a bit like David Byrne on this!!
Some of the riffs sound like early Police/Klark Kent.
And I also would like to put in my vote for more Pixies! Black Francis, where art thou?
This made me start chair dancing. Very fun, but probably not a pretty sight to my coworkers.
This makes me want to dance around my house, Peanuts style.
There's so many good reasons to like Frank Black, but I have to admit that one of them, for me, is that he's even fatter and balder than I am. :)
YES!!! Frank Black on RP! Please dig deep into the Frank Black file and continue! :D

please play some pixies!!!
i agree...pixies, please!
I know Frank Black was in the Pixies. BUt I\'ve never heard any solo work before. The music (not the vocals,) remind me of a cross between Wall of Voodoo and Oingo Boingo. Interesting.
Black Francis! Frank Black!
Please play "I Heard Ramona Sing" Bill!
I heard Ramona sing
And I heard everything
The speed they're traveling
They are the only thing
Ramona
There were moments in the night
It was all right
There were moments in the night
The best of Frank's songs are sweet and short and to the point - "Two Spaces" being a good example, but "I Heard Ramona Sing" is classic!
- Riff
I like it. It\'s like twisted circus music. Again, it makes me want to dance on my boss\' grave....if he were dead.
It is strange that RP will play Frank Black but not some of the more \"eclectic intelligent\" tracks from the pixies...
mmm frank....
Here\'s to Frank Black! How about Headache? Calistan? Abstract Plane? Smart lyrics and always interesting music.
love this album! Saw Frank only once in Palo Alto about 5 years ago
BAM! Thanks, Doc!
Great new wavy style!
