There almost nothing that Zero 7 released that doesn't deserve an 8 or higher. And Simple Things has to be a definitive album of its time. Stunning.

I bet RP listeners would lose their minds if we suddenly started hearing Sia sing "give it away give it away give it away now"
Seek out the Zero 7 live concert... spectacular.
il y a un air d'Air :)
I miss having Zero 7 around. Wish they could have just kept throwing out a new album every year. Sia, Tina--you rocked those songs!
When I see Sia, my mind turns to LSD, her collaboration with Labrinth and Diplo.
Aye, the whole album is top notch in chill
Totally stunning album this. One of my absolute faves. I was just saddened when these guys stopped making albums some 12years ago now. Still, there are a few EPs worth checking out from recent years.
Three notes and I was sold!
The ultimate hold music...
This pairs well with Air.

On a scale of zero to seven, I'd give this a 9.
Always pleased to hear this. It takes me to a sweet, mellow corner where I can just watch the world go by. Thanks RP.

Hmmmm. Just heard this 13 songs ago. New format is interesting.
More Zero7, please!
I am sure that I have heard this song before, perhaps several times.
This is the first time I stopped to listen.
Very nice. Terrific instrumental piece.

Surprisingly not bad. Enough noodling in the background to keep it interesting.
Incredibly - and I mean incredibly - under-rated band!!
For me, Zero 7 fills the musical space in 2014 that Martin Denny (Exotica) filled in 1960. Thankfully, we've all come a long way since then!

A close second!
ZERO 7 surely? Sounds exactly like ZERO 7. And I love it!
Can't go wrong with Zero 7... and Sia when she sings with them (she is fab live btw very quirky on stage in a good way).
I never tire of Zero 7 especially this album and "When it Falls" 2004
AWESOME! Love the band, love this track.
Super tired of this
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........this CD still holds a place of honor in my collection. (and yes, I do still own some actual CD's — refuse to go completely digital until harddrives stop crapping out - backups be damned).

Definitely influenced by Air ... but they have their own signature, evidenced by their vocal numbers—with Sia participating in them. I like the whole album.

The perfect song for a lazy Sunday morning, like this morning.

Yet another CD I was compelled to buy because of RP
I have yet to hear a Zero 7 song that I don't like!

Very nice set. I'm not sure about the bg free association process that strung them together, but I suppose it is not for us to question why.
6:30 am - Zero 7 - Give It Away
6:27 am - Jem - Come On Closer
6:23 am - Belly - Gepetto
6:20 am - James McMurtry - Good Life
6:17 am - Pork Tornado - Guabi Guabi
????may 26 08
3:53 am - Zero 7 - Give It Away
3:49 am - Jem - Come On Closer
3:45 am - Rilo Kiley - Silver Lining
3:42 am - Belly - Gepetto
3:39 am - James McMurtry - Good Life
3:36 am - Pork Tornado - Guabi Guabi
One of my favorite Zero 7 tracks... the other being "In the Waiting Line"
Clearly, that's not a zero! Rated 8!
kind of repetitive
zzzzzzzzzz.............

I think between the Garden State soundtrack and the Six Feet Under soundtrack, I found the need to sink into something a little more relaxing. Zero 7 (and Air) are like sweet strong coffee on a foggy morning.
It's like a cup of sweet tea in the afternoon.
rad tune
I don't think Tina Dickow is on this one but if anyone has any new pics you can post them in this thread anyway. It's OK.
Ahh, Simple Things. Knew it when the first piano chord was struck! Gotta love it. This was the album that got me into this "genre" of music. Was like someone opening a door to a place I'd never been...
Ahh ]-), dig that bass. Although the song itself is somewhat repetitive.
More hyperbole about how frequently songs get played on RP........boring.

Very glad I have this on CD or I'd have worn it out by now. Wonderful album, worth every penny and then some. Excellent tune here.
A most excellent album. Night music. Sexy.
It seems like RP plays this 10 times a day........boring
....And I return to add ... lest we forget ... with an even greater margin of error:
Olive
Portishead
Esthero
Sneaker Pimps
Dirty Vegas
Ultra Lounge
Faithless
Telepopmusik
Cafe del Mar
Urban Species
Gotan Project
Tosca
DJ Shadow
and I'm sure many others......

Strange that it seems it has taken a few years for this band to catch on in the U.S.
This music made me search out other current electronic music. Unfortunately I'm having a difficult time finding anything approaching the quality of Zero 7. Any ideas?
This is a good breakdown of eletronica for fellow RP sojourners.

Nice tune. Sounds like "Paper Tiger".

Can't help but get a great big grin and chair dance to this one. Love Zero 7.
This is a great song from a great album. More, please!
Awesome band, awesome album! I like "When It Falls" a bit more...but I'm not complaining.
Wow! Who needs drugs??
Love Zero 7. Love, love, love.

This album is good for just about every mood:
Lounging around with friends and cocktails to taking a long hot bath on a Sunday afternoon.
Comfy in my head.
Always good listens from Z7.
..and it doesn't sound like Air whatsoever. "All I need"? Naaaahhhhh....
I love that feeling, that Zero 7 feeling, because its music is excellent. My favorite is In the waiting line, but overall Zero 7 is something really decent for my ears...I hope for yours, too :)
