I'm not a Beth Orton fan, but I really like this one.  As to those who are critical about the lyrics — really, there are lyrics and you care?  The music is good, her song is just another instrument to me and she uses it well.  I could care less what she or most other singers are actually meaning by their words.  Singing in songs all sounds like the non-words of Cocteau Twins to me.

Interesting term (dweepiness)... what's the origin? No results from Google. "Dweepy" turns up either some program used for nuclear physics, or Dutch pages, which I can't read, so I'm guessing it's some Dutch colloquialism, and probably not too complimentary by the tone of the above...

not sure if I will like this one after the 5th listening... inteteresting electronica sound and a nice baseline piece... Good to see a lot of mixed up sounds coming out of the powerful women singers... I expect to hear more fused tunes like this over here in the states... Seems the UK has been shaking to these sorts of arrangements for a long while...
