Friday's dust
Turned into a saturday's
It wasn't meant to be this way
It wasn't meant to end so late

Friday's trust
A deal not brokered honestly
Perhaps it's just a game they played
Tell me they've not flown away

All the hope
And all the wonder
All the strength that they can muster
Won't go
They won't get me down

Their desire
It seems they've got designs on me
They never want me honestly
They try to take me foolishly

All the toys and creature comforts
All the dreams they can rupture
Won't go

Friday's dust
Takes all the love we own

Funny, but whenever RP seems to play songs from Last Broadcast, people respond that it's one of the weaker songs from the album. Is this a reflection of everybody liking different songs or of RP only picking a couple weak ones or just that the album only has a couple good ones? I like all of the album, but I'm curious about the mixed opinions of its songs.

IDK?  ...everybody has different tastes.   I think that this is an  EXCELLENT TUNE!!   Thanx RP!
OK, according to Wiki, it is NOT an oboe. It is a a clarinet played by Duncan Ashby on this tune.  GREAT TUNE!  Thanx RP!
After the high that was the 'Maps' track this drags us down into something boring boring and dirgelike!  I give it a 2

That's interesting. I pretty much like everything on there, myself.

I know, and I like these guys, but I don't care for this particular song. :(
Agreed - I bought the CD just for the monumental "Words". I think these guys take themselves far too seriously.
good song! reminds me of Kansas' Dust in the Wind though?! um ya

Now how many contemp songs do you hear that include a cool oboe?
Isn't it a clarinet?
Now how many contemp songs do you hear that include a cool oboe? I give it a pip just for that!

Funny since they actually 'cover' King Crimson on The Last Broadcast (M62 Song = Moonchild). Haunting.

Murky music. Sounds like it should be used as the soundtrack to some really cheesy sci-fi tv series.
This is really cool sounding!
Boy, the lead singer sounds a whole lot like the lead singer of a Canadian band called The Watchmen.
Wonderful! One of the Doves\' best, right there along with \'Sattelites\'.
