I never seen you looking so bad, my funky one
You tell me that your superfine mind has come undone

Any major dude with half a heart surely will tell you, my friend
Any minor world that breaks apart falls together again
When the demons are at your door
In the morning it won't be there no more
Any major dude will tell you
Any major dude will tell you

Have you ever seen a squonk's tears? Well, look at mine
The people on the street have all seen better times

Any major dude with half a heart surely will tell you, my friend
Any minor world that breaks apart falls together again
When the demons are at your door
In the morning it won't be there no more
Any major dude will tell you
Any major dude will tell you

I can tell you all I know, the where to go, the what to do
You can try to run, but you can't hide from what's inside of you

Any major dude with half a heart surely will tell you, my friend
Any minor world that breaks apart falls together again
When the demons are at your door
In the morning it won't be there no more
Any major dude will tell you
Any major dude
Any major dude will tell you

Some things shouldn\'t be tampered with. These buttholes messed with perfection. For punishment I\'m giving them a 1. It\'s all I can do. If I could get my hands on them I would torture them.

No, no, don't you mean "every time a Steely Dan is played with"... :) A decent tribute/cover, (not the Jim Carrey), but I prefer the original.
Two words. Steely. Dan.

Never got the whole Wilco thing...and this is especially rotten.
steely dan all the way,,,,but this is passable

I like it, but they can\'t touch Skunk\'s solo in the original.

Ordinarily I am full of praise for Wilco but this is weak. Why isn't the original on the playlist?
I ask the same question, Steely Dan does it superbly. This does though, sound a little Greatful Dead-ish

...and I third it - great version. Doin' the Dan is tough but these guys pulled it off IMHO.

Nicely covered 'Dan' tune... well enough that I thought it was a SD 'live' version. But - why play a cover, why not just play the original? :p

No! No! No! <-X You're not going to surpass the The Dan, and you look lame for even trying.

A fairly mediocre cover. I\'ll pass on this, thanks.
Wilco grew on me, heard them first here, then dl\'d some MP3s and finally bought their 2-disc Being There... need to get YHF soon

It takes a lot of guts to cover a Steely Dan tune. this is a fine job and I like Wilco.

Very nice cover. Oh phorp, by the way, Bill and Rebecca like covers. That's why they would play this in addition to the original by Steely Dan. :)
