I'll never be sad and I'll never be lonely
I'll never be hungry and I'll never be homely
And I'll never make a noise when I'm kissing a boy
Amen, amen

Old John Paul is keeping a tab in his big red folder
At night he is dreaming of hollow candleholders
As big as the weight of the world on his shoulders
Amen, amen
Amen, amen

Yeah, and you're keeping those dirty little wiggly fingers to yourself
I said, you're keeping those dirty little wiggly fingers to yourself
Yeah, you're always keeping those dirty little wiggly fingers to yourself
I see you're keeping those dirty little

You're shaking the tree, baby, you should be shaking the bed
Yeah, you know you're rocking the boat but you should be rocking your head
All the family's watching Sixty Minutes instead
Amen, amen
Amen, amen

Yeah, and you're keeping those dirty little wiggly fingers to yourself
You're always keeping those dirty little wiggly fingers to yourself
Yeah, and you're keeping those dirty little wiggly fingers to yourself
Keeping those dirty little wiggly

And they'll send you flying right out of Saint Francis Xavier
With a note to my daddy about my unspeakable behaviour
And who the hell is going to be your saviour now?

Everyone says that love is a labour
And so I guess you go call a sex line if you want to love your neighbour, baby
I'll just stay right here and I'll just get a little safer and safer
Amen, amen
Amen, amen
Amen, amen
Amen, amen

You know I'm always keeping my dirty little wiggly fingers to yourself
I see you're keeping dirty little wiggly fingers to yourself

And they'll send you flying right out of Saint Francis Xavier
With a note to my daddy about my unspeakable behaviour
And who the hell said I need a saviour anyhow?

I got the dirty little wiggly fingers
I got the dirty little wiggly fingers
I got the dirty little wiggly fingers
I got the dirty little wiggly fingers

I love to feel the little wiggly
I love the dirty little wiggly
I love to feel the little wiggly
I love the dirty little wiggly
Dirty little fingers, yeah

One of the few Patty songs that I don't find amazing. This track is probably my least favorite.

I hear a suburban brat trying to show us her angst. Geez Morisette, what have you started.
Kick ass!!!
Check out the lyrics to this song. They're truly wonderful. Takes dead aim at the hypocrisy of the Church. Great stuff. Usually, the woman . . . uhm . . . controls herself.
I'm a huge fan of Patty but didn't really know about Flaming Red (for some reason!) until I heard One Big Love the other day on RP. She's got quite a few rockers on this CD, including this one - great vocal range / attitude - shows off her ability to incorporate the band.
... ... I got the dirty little wiggley fingers to say I need a Saviour anyhow and how and now but I love your song, it's a little ring finger ripper! ...
Rockin!
I love this woman! I don't know what it is, but I really love her! She's got a great and powerful voice and this song rocks! Like it very much...
PG wasn't thrilled with this album, which has a lot more production going on than her later stuff. But truthfully, it rocks. It's grown on me with time and now I like it as well as any of her stuff. PG's the real deal.
Been familiar with her name, but not her music. Now I've got another album on my wish list. Thanks, RP!
Damn, Patty rocks. Absolutely love her voice.
This was awesome. Didn't know she did anything like this.
Keep your dirty little wiggly things to yourself!? Oooooh, wiggly fingers. Whoops.
This tune rocks more than any other that is played on RP. I love it but we need more rock and roll!

Great song. This is the album that made me a Patty Griffin fan.
I do love this album, but I believe that all of her albums have the power to turn someone into a fan upon listening to them.
1st impression of Patty Griffin: at the half-shell along the Charles River in Boston, 1997. Earth Day concert - thousands of people. Tiny figure, red hair visible from far out. HUGE voice. Tiny body. WHO is that amazing voice? The strength was continuous - the beauty and the passion. More sophisticated, varied sound, now. She's sure experimented past the point of being that gigantic voice full of passion and strength, with a guitar and painful words.
Great song. This is the album that made me a Patty Griffin fan.

I'm stunned. ... I have no choice but to check out this entire album.
You won't be disappointed. I think it's her best album; it certainly rocks the hardest of all her CDs. One terrific song after another.
She sure can sing!
I'm stunned. My favorite Patty Griffin song to this point has been Long Ride Home. First heard here and probably the best funeral themed song I've ever heard. But it doesn't even sound like it came from the same planet as this, much less the same artist. I have no choice but to check out this entire album.
foxy hey laaaayyyyyyydyyyyyy truly crap.

Mmmmmmmm.... lesbians.....
WOW - that's really cool.
"And who in the hell said I need a savior anyhow" BRAVO PATTY!
Awesome. Totally worth the rewind to hear it again. On my way to buy record ....
I can't wait for Patty to release another balls-to-the-wall rock album. I love her folk side, but damn, can she rock!
Very nice. This track sounds like Sheryl Crow with some grit.

You mean like a lesbian trapped inside a man's body?
"Mmmmmmmmmm...............Wrigley Fingers!...........................Aurghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
This song is definitely worthy of a 'notworthy' --
oh man...this is rockin!

Outstanding. Since I heard this a couple of days ago I've abandoned RP to listen to Patty Griffin's entire oeuvre on Napster - talk about stylistic range. I was already familiar with a lot of tracks that get played here, but I hadn't made the connection because they're so different. I'm going out to buy all her CDs.
You will NOT be disappointed! :highfive:

Very nice. That drivin' groove totally rocked me out.
I had never heard this one before! Wow! I love it when Patty rocks out! Amazing that someone has the power to either do this...or make people cry!
What a way to give Monday a little kick-start!!
yay patty!
