These guys are newly in heavy rotation on the PC and on my mobile. (Discovered late, yes, but no less a big fan...)

I normally never post here. I just think you should know that the life version on Kicking Television is a far superior version, of this already good song.

Also, how in the world do I get to hear "The Late Greats - Turpentine"

Wilco is playing 5 (count em) 5! shows in Chitown in February. Tix are $25 each. They plan on playing everying they have recorded, all mixed up. Should be fantastic!!!

This is the ending track that is the saving grace for "A Ghost is Born", after all the noise and experimentation that precedes it. Absololutely awesome.

See, this one is very good, and I usually don't like these guys. 7. A little bouncy, simple yet clever lyrics. An honest-to-goodness pop song. Didn't click over to see the title until the song was over, and I was shocked to see it was wilco. Is it me, or do these guys just spend about 70% of the time being professionally dull? I don't mean to dis, I'm just perplexed. Do they have more like this? Ya know, fun & catchy?

Just saw Wilco in New Orleans on 4/21. Excellent live show. Big, big sound, six outstanding musicians. The energy, talent, creativity, and discipline combine to easily lead the audience from blissful calm to thrashing extremity and all emotions in between. Really nice video and light effects, too. They make many other bands seem lazy and meaningless by comparison. Finally, an example of music for the new millenium.

I don't know why everyone is attacking Wilco lately. A Ghost is Born is an excellent album with amazing songs. It sucks that Jay Bennett is gone, but that doesn't mean the band sucks, too. Wilco still makes great music. People are just upset because they were expecting Yankee Hotel Foxtrot II. What do you want, more of the same? I applaud bands for doing something different each album, and that's what Wilco does. They are a very talented band with a lot of outstanding albums ahead of them. Just because the direction they headed in was unexpected does not mean it is bad. In fact, I actually like it better than Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Yes, I said it! I think that album, while good, is a bit overrated.

They miss Jay Bennett big time.Tweedy, while way talented, needs a foil. The new lineup shows none of the finesse displayed on previous masterpieces BT, Summerteeth and YHF. Some definite de-evolution here. Also from what I've heard the current tour is a feedbackfest.
