I like this. Once I heard the Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I knew there would be big time negatives. To me the Ahhhhs are a little offputting but its okay as its part of the culture/history of such music.

Based on the length of time between comments, I am guessing this is not played often.  Not my favorite Harry Manx song.  But I generally enjoy his music and would never heard of him with out RP.

First time hearing this. I like Manx, but am typically not much a fan. I don't find a lot of there there in repeated listenings.  But I do like this. And that album title is quite unique and wry.

I love this song.   but I can see some folks with their little critics, thinking they know better.... these are the kind of folks that secretly want their love songs to have that nice big Celine Dion thing going on, then they can cry in their cars on the way home to see mom and dad in the suburbs.   They feel brave passing judgement on line, like peep show kids.  They'll say songs like this aren't cool enough for their heavy shit. This is music for the big world kids,  there's a big world out there, welcome.   Love this stuff.  Shaktiboy

That's because he's trying to pull of a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who was a great Sufi singer - only, he doesn't quite pull it off. Eddie Vedder tried real hard too. But alas, I think Jeff Buckley was on his way to being someone who could pull it off. Then he drowned.
