Hell yeah! I been listening to this station for about 8 years but never made an account. Well, I just made one to give that song a goddam like! Love from Berlin Germany
Another great artist I wouldn't know if it wasn't for RP

Based on the length of time between comments, I am guessing this is not played often.  Not my favorite Harry Manx song.  But I generally enjoy his music and would never heard of him with out RP.

Seems you have your own pigeonholes and prejudices.

The song's ok, it's got the rating it deserves.

You don't say.
First time hearing this. I like Manx, but am typically not much a fan. I don't find a lot of there there in repeated listenings.  But I do like this. And that album title is quite unique and wry.
Sounds similar to Rakim by Dead Can Dance (1994).
hi was this the country song with woohooo s? if so i loved it
I love this song.   but I can see some folks with their little critics, thinking they know better.... these are the kind of folks that secretly want their love songs to have that nice big Celine Dion thing going on, then they can cry in their cars on the way home to see mom and dad in the suburbs.   They feel brave passing judgement on line, like peep show kids.  They'll say songs like this aren't cool enough for their heavy shit. This is music for the big world kids,  there's a big world out there, welcome.   Love this stuff.  Shaktiboy

You should see him live. Oh My, yes indeed!

Okay, when Harry's not chanting, its a pretty good song. But can't fault him for lack of ambition.

This probably isn't a fair way to judge this song, but the chanting reminds me of Will Ferrell's impersonation of Robert Goulet on Conan O'Brien a few years ago.
GOULET!! My favorite SNL skit of all time "mmmmmmm, you look hungry."
Damn. This is a pretty cruel forum for Mr. Manx here...I dig it anyway.

7) I think this is pretty nice song.
A toned down eddie vedder east-indian-style vocal solo?
Could someone please shoot him and put him out of his misery....please
So, does Harry Manx have a tail, or not?
I hate non-constructive criticism... but this song sucks!
hey wow, after I got done laughing at Tovarisch's post, I realized just how painfully awful this is....

I laughed out loud...especially when his name sounds so...hmmm...pornographic?

that pseudo indian or attempt at middle eastern singing made me turn it off
Truly HORRIBLE song. Had to turn off.
Good for a laugh when he starts humming.

This is the second Harry Manx song that, at first, I thought was a Kelly Joe Phelps song I hadn't heard.
I really like the eastern feel to this song. The tablas are nice along with the other eastern instruments. Sah wheat! :meditate.gif:

That's because he's trying to pull of a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who was a great Sufi singer - only, he doesn't quite pull it off. Eddie Vedder tried real hard too. But alas, I think Jeff Buckley was on his way to being someone who could pull it off. Then he drowned.

Tell me that isn't a sitar. All this song needs now is Yoko Ono and a love-in. Could have been pretty good with better production.

I loves me some Harry Manx. His Blues-Raga style totally rocks. "Bring that Thing" and his version of "Can't Be Satisfied" are high up there on my list of faves.

Great song... PLEASE play after this one: "Dave Pike - Mathar"...that would rock !!!
The instruments played in the background sound oriental...the sitar i guess. Ohh..the improvisation of the set of notes inbetween fits in too. West meet the east again.
Very talented, interesting fellow. Smooth, poetic. \jk
