Leave the body, leave the mind
Leave the body, leave the mind
Every promise every place behind

I just happend to feel so alone
for today for all days to come
I just wanna be wanna be gone
I just wanna be wanna be gone

Leave the quiet, leave the night
Leave the quiet, leave the night
Broken feelings of dreams out of sight

Pictures in your head at night
For tonight for all nights to come
Erased for good and always gone
Erased for good and always gone

Leave the city, leave the cold
Leave the city, leave the cold
Young people far to old

Let me cross a very fine line
for today for a lifetime
For today for a lifetime

Leave the body, leave the mind
Let me
Leave the body, leave the mind
Every promise every place behind

I just happend to feel so alone
for today for all days to come
for today for all days to come
I just wanna be wanna be gone

I saw her for the third time last night. And again I was very impressed by her voice and her beautiful melodies.

This CD, her first, is still the best. At least in my book.
Great artist. RP is always turning me on to something great I've never heard !
She is impressive and beautiful singer;
{#Bananapiano} ........ wonderful stuff

Thanks for the picture. I have seen her twice. Impossible not to love her. sigh.
"Buy CD" link is borken.
Again, I love where this girl comes from....both in spirit and in observation. Just think of her and Heather Nova together? Wow.

If you haven't picked up this album, you should. Quite beautiful.
My favorite though is "Subtle Men." {#Yes}

Nice segue from the Delgados.
I thought this was the intro to that Psychedelic Furs' song that starts "9 9 9 but please don't come, here on easy street..." or whatever he says. I do like the song, even if she's not from Norway.

Ask and ye shall, etc. EDIT: Speaking of the cover, could that scan from Amazon be any worse? At least take it out of the CD case, guys. Can't believe they'd let that crappy quality onto their site. On second thought, I can believe it. :)

I absolutely love this song (and the rest of the CD). But I haven't the slightest urge to leave the body nor the mind.

Sounds like nails being dragged across a black board.
beautiful...
Love this song . . . melodic, moody, good stuff
Nice segue from the Delgados.
Again? :sigh:
This song is startng to annoy me.
This is an excellent song - light, whimsical, with a catchy rhythm, but also something else to it. Is the rest of the album similar? I have a three-song-minumum rule on buying albums but am very much taken with this song.
leave the RP... Leave the Mind Youve been played Far too Long Youve been around Far too Long Leave the RP Leave the Mind Go Back to Norway Be so Kind
So overplayed on RP. I wouldn't think so if it were a better song, but come on. It's one of those tunes that's catchy in a creepy sort of way.

Love this song - and the good news is that her album is now available in the US from amazon.com and there are at least four more tracks that are just about the equal of this.
It's been a little while since I heard Anna, and now I heard this song twice today in different radio stations. And that's a good thing. Makes me look forward to the next time I see her live :o) Maybe it's time to let that CD do go for a spin in the player.

Wonderful song. Whatever possesed her to do China Girl?
One wonders ...
Her voice reminds me a bit of the woman from Portishead. Like it. Where has Portishead gone?

Whatever it was I'm very glad it did. Love this and China Girl (and indeed her whole album and EPs).
Wonderful song. Whatever possesed her to do China Girl?

Odd the English language is isn't it! I as a BRIT, when I go to the States I always get asked if I am an Aussie!
She is from Sweden Bill, not Norway! Not a very big difference, but the sibling rivalry is quite strong inbetween our countries. And I would hate Norway getting the credit for Anna!
Hate her voice.
So much better than China Girl. Like the rhythm. Not a toe tapper, a shoulder shaker.
very cool. Tak, Anna!
I like this more every time I hear it.
Saw Anna in concert in Rotterdam last Saturday. Absolutely incredible - her voice is even more beautiful live than on record. She was amazing. She was sweet and young, and brimming with talent - one of my favourite gigs of the year.

Why on earth wouldn't someone who natively speaks another European language speak English with a British accent?
Why (or how) should we ? We should learn Oxford-english, but our teachers at school are germans (normally) We listen to american soldiers (there are a lot near Frankfurt) or to their Radio-station AFN. Or we watch Hollywood-movies with the original sound (if we want to learn english at all).
Are they supposed to have an American accent?
WE are supposed to have an accent like Dr. Ruth Westheimer ;-)
My world's a little bigger than that...

When I went to school (in Sweden, just like Anna Ternheim) we were taught British English. But most English I hear spoken (on TV, in movies) is American English. And I can assure you that my accent is still very Swedish! (In the biography on Anna Ternheim's website one can read that she spent one year in the US when she was seventeen, but apparently that had no effect on her accent...)
Bjork! We've missed you.
I was rushing to give it a 9. Was surprised that it already got a 9. Very very pleasant indeed.
Very cool. Love the harmonies!
Surpisingly pleasant. Very nice. Very nice indeed.

We Swedes tend to have a rather strong accent when we try to speak English. However, I don't recognize this as a typical Swedish accent. Artistic freedom, perhaps?
I simply LOVE IT!
The darker side of Petula Clark? ;)

She obviously inspires a lot of strong opinions... ...or maybe I've entered some kind of hidden dimension where I'm the only person who can hear this song?
