Yet another band that went from "who?" to "I have all their stuff on my phone" thanks to Radio Paradise.

Oh-so-classy downtempo.
I love this and clipped a ringtone from this years ago.

Cheeky rhythm section gets it on !!
Not bad at all (but not exactly to my taste either). This must be what's playing in The New Yorker's building lift.

Just like this story might be influenced by Joe Frank, this song sounds influenced by Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim.
Very hip! Cat's on a roll! Groovin' like St. Germain's acid jazz...
Spiffy!
damn this is good.
Is this improv in places or all composed? It seems to have some improv in it.

There's a voice in there somewhere. So, technically, not an instrumental.
I would like to here "Der Bauch".
Great change of pace after all this rock rock.
Whoa, just stepped back to the mid-2000s, browsing around in the flagship Banana Republic store in Manhattan.  Anyone relate?
Was wondering what these guys have been up to since this album...apparently they released a new single in 2018 from an upcoming new album.  Will have to check that out; hopefully the new album is still happening.
Dancing and coding at the same time!

Sweet mother of pearl I love this album cover!!
This whole album is fantastic. Love these guys. Great dinner music. Or house cleaning music. Or just hanging around the house music.
Yeah...definitely diggin' it.
funky and delightful..
Similar but different... check out GoGo Penguin.
Cool tune.  Warmed me up for meditation class at lunch today.{#Meditate}
This is, I think, in the great Wim Wenders' film Pina.

Catchy.  I like it !   Sounds great on the big transducers.

Not to my taste. Sounds a little like an old Casio on a synchro loop

I was sitting in this really swank coffee shop waiting for my buddies to arrive on campus, cuz I was at a college reunion and had some time to kill.   So I’m sitting there drinking coffee and reading and waiting and waiting for like hours.  I got there a bit early, you see, and by now I am like totally jittery and a little paranoid cuz of the caffeine and all. And of course they were playing Jazz, non-stop.  But I was like thinkin’ to myself, this is like the SAME song being played over and over again!!  But it was a radio station, cuz there was an announcer between songs, spouting off all these illustrious Jazz legends’ names.  So finally I went up to the “barista” and started getting all Bill Bixby on her about the whole thing, yelling about this GOD DAMN JAZZ SONG THEY KEEP PLAYING OVER AND OVER!!!  Next thing I know she calls these two 300 lbs musclehead bouncers from the bar next door, and they’re like her buddies and all, and they freaking throw me through the glass door out onto the street ON MY ASS!  And I’m STILL furious over the jazz during all this, so the cops come and freaking TASER ME TO WITHIN AN IN OF MY LIFE, and to top it all off I spend the night in JAIL!  And I still swear it was the same god damn jazz song being played over and over again!!! UGH!!!

I respect your viewpoint. But I think you've missed the humor in this choice by Bill. This style of mysic is aptly these days called, Lounge. It's a tongue in cheek homage to such from the 50s. You'll find it played in trendy hotels like the Hotel Costes in France, etc.

Some people miss the deliberate irony or levity of contemporary "Lounge" and "chill" genres.  It's not worth trying to explain it after a few times.  If it's not Floyd, Zeppelin, or The Dead a lot of people here have no tolerance for it.

If there were only one type of music (any type) on this station I wouldn't listen very often — not so sure about needing to chew my arm off though.

The operative word in this song is "stiff." I mean, seriously, do you really want Radio Paradise to turn into Elevator Jazz Central? This tune is horrifically nondescript and boring. There are a million "contemporary jazz" songs that sound very similar. Please don't muck up the airwaves with this...

This is totally chair-bopping me today.  *{#Dancingbanana}

Not bad!
The dudes on the cover is the artists' dads.

Too bad dZihan & Kamien are no more. They had a great sound together.
It sounds like the theme song for a 1950's television show.

Ah, jiggy-jig :o)

The pic of these two reminds me of the (in)famous Brit contemporary artists Gilbert & George.

I swear I've heard this tune in Cosi at least a few times.  They play a lot of chillout jazzy stuff.  Anybody else?
great tune!
I think Gotye sampled this tune on one of his songs on Like Drawing Blood.

the muted trumpet sometimes sounds a little like a cartoon duck
Sitting here nodding on the subway in the middle of stockholm.

God bless the iPhone.
God bless RadioParadise!
Man, do I love a drummer who can mix times and alternate between the upbeat and the downbeat. I'm sitting here nodding at work.
yeah, way cool tune.
That was a sweet transition Bill!
Sitting in my chair listening to this tune on this warm sunny day...I started wishing I was driving in a convertible with the top down and this song blaring.

Absolutely! I was working and listening and the work stopped. I thought, this is an interesting new ending to Mysterious Ways. Looked at the Now Playing window and said "What the...? How did he..?"

Just in case nobody knows, live musicians played and recorded music specifically for this album, and the two DJs (actually the sons of the two funny fellas on the cover) mixed everything together. That's a fine form of electronica if you ask me :-) Glad this has still been well received!

Bump
Thanks for mixing a little downtempo in with RP. You know there's a lot more where that came from. :)

Coincidence or not, i disclose  and select just yesterday this album "Gran Riserva", to select some musics for a friend mine;  i must very confess that i am a little skeptical concerning these boardings of mix-musics;   are horrible work for there, authentic musical-crimes;  i bought this album have 3 years, without great certainty, but i must say that after to hear intently, we are, in this in case, an excellent work;  i liked and i am satisfied for now hearing in RP Station
