Willie's always been laid back, but this is what happens when an artist is too comfortable. Or apathetic. Dreck.
Not bad. Get me another tequila....
Always love Willie's voice. But is the echo intentional? Distracting.
I mean, it's not masterpiece, but it's a hell of a lot better than most of the garbage that's released these days. 7, Quite Likeable.
gotta love his bio-willie!
So far I've liked the stuff I've heard off this album. Dunno if it's enough to buy it, but I get a kick out of it.
not 2 days in a row with this nonsense!
Eeeew. The worst of a couple of worlds with this one.
And now you torture me more with Willie? Bill, I think you like this CD too much!
UGH - and the segue into this from "Last One Standing" by Neil Finn?? We all have our lapses in judgement, but this is pretty lame. Bring on the Highwaymen (in a different set!) and follow Neil Finn with something a little more in keeping with the ambiance.

Geesh! I mean "AAARGH, mateys!" And Willie has no say on this? Bought a bowdlerized CD at Wal-Mart once I did. Learned my lesson I did. <-X
Wal-Mart sucks. Willie Nelson doesn't.

A reggae album? Willie, what were you thinkin'? I am torn. I just love Willie Nelson's voice, but this is like a bad joke.
The album cover says it all...
Willie, you are my hero.
so f'n aweseome i like this song more everytime i hear it.
Reggae Country Twang Tastes like beer and Cola.
This makes me MAD!!!! :verymad: Willie... How could you... I feel like a kid who's just witnessed his dad do something extremely embarrassing.
4... but only for the cover !

If your going to play willie think there is some room for some buffet!!!!!!!!!!!
Do a search under the Music section, there are lots of Jimmy's songs here (though most are the ones I classify as ultra-cheesy). Many have never been played - though most have been rated (low I might add).
I think this is great. The other tune I heard from this album I did not like at all. But this one I love. I think Willie's laid-back, just slightly off-kilter voice is perfect for the reggae vibe. But if the song is really dynamic (or he sings with Toots), it seems like he's really out of place. But smooth, simple tunes like this... outstanding. :nodhead:
The only idea worse than this concoction would be for some idiot to put Willie Nelson in a movie with Jessica Simpson about a bad 70's TV show...and we know that would never happen.... Oh. Well, seeing how it's a cold day in hell, perhaps the General Lee can skid off the road and crash and burn with the 8-track version of this song going down in flames with it.
Doesn't work for me. Play something from Teatro...

Actually, I believe Willie Nelson is the only civilian with that has been witnessed to have smoked pot in (on the roof of) the White House. I say civilian because if I had included presidents the list would probably contain Bill Clinton and George Washington.
And Dubya. Oh wait, you said "pot", not "Jeff Gannon".
I don't really need to hear every song on this album... one Willy Nelson reggae tune per day is probably enough :-)
The mix of country and reggae is a little awkward but it is still very good. Voice distortion not bad either.

Gotta love the cover. I bet the white house administation doesn't. Sorry Willie, no invites to stay overnight in the Lincoln bedroom for you!

disagreement here. willie is so far supperior to buffet. sorry, thems the facts.
Clicking on the album cover, I noticed this song not highlighted in bold; more, it's not listed in contents. Was at this site: https://music.ign.com/articles/611/611631p1.html with discrepancies between tracks 1 & 5. Adding to the confusion, Amazon has no sample of track 1. Alternative titles?
Hahaha, this is awesome. Go Willie!

I'm hatin' it
I'm not one to try to say Bill has to do this or not do that, but for my own personal taste, I've had MORE than enough Willie Nelson the last couple of days.
My God, This is Terrible! 8O

Are you kidding? Or quite mad. Oh no, no. Surely the "red-haired stranger" can do better than this. Maybe his robo-braider ("timesaver my ass!") is on the fritz again and it's giving him such a headache he thought this would work.
