Now that I've met you
Would you object to
Never seeing each other again
'Cause I can't afford to
Climb aboard you
No one's got that much ego to spend

So don't work your stuff
Because I've got troubles enough
No, don't pick on me
When one act of kindness could be
Deathly
Deathly
Deathly

'Cause I'm just a problem
For you to solve and
Watch dissolve in the heat of your charm
But what will you do when
You run it through and
You can't get me back on the farm

So don't work your stuff
Because I've got troubles enough
No, don't pick on me
When one act of kindness could be
Deathly
Deathly
Deathly
Definitely

You're on your honor
'Cause I'm a goner
And you haven't even begun
So do me a favor
If I should waver
Be my savior
And get out the gun

So don't work your stuff
Because I've got troubles enough
No, don't pick on me
When one act of kindness could be
Deathly
Deathly
Deathly
Definitely

"Hello Cleveland!"
Another relation-ophobic 21st Century femme.  Do us a favor and go fret in private.
Love the production quality of her music, but her vocal melodies are too similar to each other. The intervals used are almost exact across songs & her catalog of music ends up sounding like one long song.
Love this song! I'm sure this sounds different/slower/more relaxed to the version I normally hear. (Though saying that, I can't find it in my iTunes! Right, time to put that one right...)

Ah, every Lifetime movie rolled into one simple song.  They should probably download this song for free in every new BMW as a public service.

I don't agree, but that's a very funny quip!  {#Roflol}

Hard to go wrong with Aimee Mann music.
Always good to get the talented Ms. Mann in rotation!
One of her finest songs. Also sounds like her husband Michael Penn offering back up playing and singing.

Love the opening lyric!
