I don't recall hearing this when it came out. I always thought it was solo Byrne until i looked at the RP info.

Annoyed I never heard songs like these back in the early 1990s.  The radio stations just wanted to play "Under The Bridge" and "Everybody Hurts" into the ground, so I was never able to discover good tracks like these.

Classic TH, even though this is in the latter days of the band. Still a great song. And yes, Dave, it's David Byrne. Some of us like him quite a bit. I get that you don't. Do you need to leave so many comments on one song telling us so? Enough, man. Move on with life.

Even though I like TH/DB, I think that's a valid criticism, of course you could make it about other groups; Porcupine Tree, The Doves, etc. I haven't seen Bill in his office for weeks, I hope everything is all right. Maybe they have a cottage they go to in the summer. Of course he can control things remotely, but I've noticed very few, if any, new songs added to the rotation while he's been out of the office. I think the quality of the sets does suffer when he's away. {#Sad}

I found this in a bargain bin and got it solely for the U2 song (which Jerry Joseph covers live) and I can honestly say I don't think I've ever been as pleasantly surprised with an album in my whole life. This needs to be in your catalog. Apparently Whit Whitman approached all the artists and asked them to write songs about the end of the world, and this is what they each came up with.

Possibly my favorite Heads song. Was late in the game for them (around 1991 if I recall correctly)...they never seemed to make anything like it again. It recalled some of their work from 5-10 years earlier. The album is wonderful. The movie was a big miss. Great actors, director, and concept in a convoluted and rather shallow final movie.

Yeah...this is a set of artists that RP likes to play. I would recommend this album based simply upon the list of artists. Having said that, I am WAY to cheap to pony up and pay. This song is a 8. Good overall but not the best of the Heads.

Ha! I was thinking that the last song(Cake - Short Skirt Long Jacket) sounded like Lou Reed with Talking Heads... I love the way this station sounds like one of my mixed tapes. Each song flows into the next with a puropose. And I absolutely love this whole soundtrack.

What is it with Radio Paradise and Talking Heads. I have to disconnect every time this band comes on cause it is just painful to listen t; which is way too often cause you play them way too much. This is my only complaint against the station as a long time listener, but it is a big one!

I bought the CD solely for this Talking Heads song and found myself exposed to other great artists I never listened to before like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, T-Bone Burnett, etc. It's my favorite compilation soundtrack of all time. I agree that the movie isn't so great, although Solveig Dommartin was very hot in it.

I bought this CD when it was first released in order to get my hands on a copy of U2's Until the End of the World. I was pleasantly surprised at the artistry demonstrated on this entire CD. Kind of fun to hear Julee Cruise of Twin Peaks fame on this disc as well. I finally saw the movie a few years later, mainly to see William Hurt's performance. VERY strange and convulted movie, kind of a sci-fi, road trip, post-apocalyptic kinda thing. Bottom line - buy the CD, skip the movie.

I don't know why this is listed on a compilation album. First place I saw it was on their ablum, Sand in the Vaseline, which admittedly was a compilation, but of all Talking Heads songs.
