Say the talk and I won't mind
There's cause you know I'll never try
And I love you like the one I used to know
And if you never had the time
That's an ordinary problem
And I say I'd like to have a place to go

And you held and you tried
I could never find another
If you walk me to the car park
I won't go
To my left I saw time
Flash and fall it seemed to swallow you
I could love you like the sister
I never had

Drawing circles in your concrete
I will know your every move
And I'll send you
I'll send you

And you held and you tried
I could never find another
If you walk me to the car park
I won't go
And we held and we tried
There was heart and lust between us
I will love you
I won' let go

'Cause we are one inside these walls
Undercover
We are one inside these walls
Undercover
We are one inside these walls
Undercover
We are
We are one

And you held and you tried
I could never find another
If you walk me to the car park
I won't go
And we held and we tried
There was heart and lust between us
I will love you
I won't let go

We are one (undercover)

Agreed!  {#Cheers}
pete's good.
I like the increase in intensity as the song progresses and how it rests for a moment on it's plateau at the end
9 thumbs up
I love it!

What a fantastic set, my speakers are jumping:

Pete Yorn - Undercover
Nada Surf - Always Love
Sam Phillips - How to Dream
Badly Drawn Boy - Something To Talk About

...brutally fatiguing compression...

I'm likin' this.  Seems to be a different sound than I'm used to from him.{#Dance}

I think this was originally on one of the Spiderman soundtracks....

Absolutely. No wonder the board's so divided on this one...

LOL! So true. I'll be amazed if this guy is still around in 5 years.

Likely, but I'll bet his bank account is still padded.{#Money-mouth}

This is a decent tune, yes, very radio-y but good.

My favorite stuff from him is Musicforthemorningafter, to be sure!

Pete Yorn - Undercover Josh Joplin - Undone Turin Brakes - Underdog (Save Me) Untunes, not bad
Heard this song playing -- thought hey this is a cool tune, sounds like... J Mascis? Wait, noway would RP play J Mascis in a million years.. so hey, I like this. I'll check out this guy's album. Good stuff.
Down girls!
Oh lordy Pete Yorn is a hottie and his music aint so bad either. In fact, loved his set at Lollapalooza.

Had too turn RP off because of this song ...
The quality of this MP3 sounds bad - sounds like an old compact cassette heard over a car radio.
Sorry, these last three strikes lost the groove for me, I'm out.

just power pop. Just dig it :-) very cool I think
The fact that he says "carpark" fires me up to no end

Yeah that's what I thought too - it's too busy and hard to hear through the layers.
Is the appropriate comment "Very poppy for Pete Yorn" or "Very poppy because it's Pete Yorn"? I still haven't decided. Pretty good, anyway.

Yup. But he's still cute. It's sad that I let my hormones influence my ability to listen to music, but there it is.
Sigh, yeah... The "+1 for the jeans" boys... A set featuring Pete Yorn, Rhett Miller, Beck, and Britt Daniel would be mighty welcome, Bill!
typo: it's Pete Yawn

Great song. Though I've been a PY fan for a few years now, the first/only time I managed to see him was last December. Awesome show; I was skeptical of his newest album at first, but I am indeed a believer now. And I just can't get enough of "For Us."
Totally agree. "For Us" is an earworm, pure and simple.

It is slightly strange to hear an American use the term "car park".
The 'un-' set ... what's next? Until I Fall - Gin Blossoms or Until the Morning - Thievery Corp or Untitled - Pearl Jam or Unmade Bed - Sonic Youth

Great tune, and great artis. Not sure why there is always such a backlash against midtempo roots rock-n-roll. Last year a Chicago Tribune critic wrote a mean spirited editorial about a Pete Yorn concert basically stating that Pete Yorn is a poseur and a fraud.
The Trib is a Repugnantan rag. I guess they don't do music reporting any better than they do anything else. Saw him at Lolla this summer; pretty good. Some so-so stuff, but they were tight and he's definitely a very good musician, and has a personable stage presence. Good show.
Love the song..PY is a genius

Pete Yorn = my guilty pleasure. I don't want to like him as much as I do.
Pete Yorn has some really, really good stuff - check him out

That guy must be addicted to fake overproduced crossover country teenybopper american idol caca. Yorn is good.
I just love this guy... He's playing at one of the Four O'Clock Fridays this year at the Del Mar races - giddy up! He's great live, saw him at the HOB a few months ago and he put on a great show!
Opening for Crowded House in Sept. in Nashvegas....
I saw Pete Yorn play in Chicago a few years ago...touring for his first album. Thought it was a great show...talented guy. Preferred his first album to his second tho. really liked this song.

I kind of like her. Music is cool too. Reminds me of Hooverphonic or Goldfrapp, which is a good thing IMO.
